keithm Posted May 4, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2017 Being new to Celebrity and sailing in July on the Summit, I would love to know what are some of your Celebrity favorites or "must-haves", whether in the diningroom, OV buffet, room service or elsewhere?. Thanks so much!! For us in Murano: The Dover sole, Chateau Briand, or Lobster tableside. I do like the "extra" cost options on the room service breakfast menu. It's nice if you want to splurge a bit before going on that excursion you've got planned.

sandc4e Posted May 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 5, 2017 Escargot in MDR, every night. Antipasti in Tuscan Grill, along with their Caesar Salad. And of course a Capuchinno from El Bacio Sent from my iPad using Forums
Luvcrusn Posted May 5, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2017 Ditto on the escargot! The Lobster Murano prepared tableside, but alas no longer available on M-class. The rack of lamb and the crème brulee in the MDR are wonderful. All of the specialty coffees after dinner are delish. I also look forward to coffee and croissants from room service on the balcony for any early morning treat before the day gets in full gear. In the buffet I love getting some smoked salmon (lox) and capers and having them made into a fresh omelet and the chocolate croissants are also yummy. The oatmeal raisin cookies are also addictive and need to come with a warning label. As for a bar treat, I love the frozen toasted almond and ask for some chocolate to be swirled around the glass to make it even more decadent. coldweathergirl Posted May 5, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 5, 2017 The prime rib in the MDR is always fabulous. I love the chocolate peanut butter cake available in Cafe Bacio. (Complimentary) The tableside lobster in Murano is excellent.

theriac Posted May 5, 2017 #8 Share Posted May 5, 2017 Chocolate peanut butter cake at Cafe al Bacio is fantastic. I really loved the pasta bar on the Constellation. The waffles are actually really good too. Lawn Club Grill is fantastic and the cookie dessert puts it over the top. BunnyLebowski Posted May 5, 2017 #9 Share Posted May 5, 2017 The elaborate room service cheese and fruit plates. There may be a charge for these if you aren't in one of the larger suites, but I would gladly pay. 4774Papa Posted May 5, 2017 #14 Share Posted May 5, 2017 Crepe Suzettes are great. For breakfast, I love the Eggs Benedict. Also, X always has a good variety of lamb dishes that are great.
Rare Texed Posted May 5, 2017 #15 Share Posted May 5, 2017 The waffles are actually really good too. Not as great as they used to be, but still pretty good. :)
FlorenceItaly Posted May 5, 2017 #16 Share Posted May 5, 2017 Not as great as they used to be, but still pretty good. :) Imo, the KEY is to wait for a new hot batch. I then proceed with nuts, fruit, syrup, etc. I board the Infinity in 12 days, and can not wait, LOL.
Rare Texed Posted May 5, 2017 #17 Share Posted May 5, 2017 Imo, the KEY is to wait for a new hot batch.. Yes ma'am, always. But, it seems they have changed their recipe a tad. :(
lola2013 Posted May 5, 2017 #18 Share Posted May 5, 2017 Everything in Lawn Club Grill is fantastic, having done both lunch and dinner...save room for the chocolate chip cookie. I'm also a big fan of the stir fry in the Oceanview Café.
lstrong Posted May 5, 2017 #19 Share Posted May 5, 2017 Oh my! Are the waffles found on the buffet?
chaching Posted May 5, 2017 #20 Share Posted May 5, 2017 Don't know if it's been available on all the ships, but I just got off the Infinity and for lunch in the Oceanview Café one day, they had something called "Coconut Fried Chicken". The bomb! Oh my! That's all I ate for lunch that day, nothing else.
cocobakerchica Posted May 5, 2017 #21 Share Posted May 5, 2017 (since you're going on the Summit, I'll limit my comments on what's available on that ship)Definitely the Eggs Benedict(you'll have to try all the versions to find your favorite), the scoops of ice cream(with and without mix ins) and the afternoon fresh baked cookies in the Oceanview Cafe, the burgers and fries at the Pool Grill, coffee and cakes/pastries at Cafe al Bacio, the pastas at Tuscan Grill, and the short ribs in red wine sauce over polenta in the MDR. I'm sure you'll have a great time finding your own favorites. Enjoy your cruise!
Spoofa1 Posted May 5, 2017 #22 Share Posted May 5, 2017 I second the shortribs in the dining room and I indulge in the onion soup everynite. Enjoy the Summit I will be sailing her in October for the sixth time, SPOOFA

AZ Ocean Lover Posted May 5, 2017 #24 Share Posted May 5, 2017 It's been a year since I've been on the Summit so I'm not sure if the pastry chef is the same (a woman from Jamaica) but her cupcakes were the best. We still talk about them.
