I've decided that it's harder to plan a two night cruise than a 34 night cruise.

 

That is why small exquisite things are more expensive than large things. It is all in the design.

Oh yes. There is something decadent about eating in the main dining room, then going to the buffet for dessert (or even second dessert). That is one of the joys of cruising!

Gut isn't into the alcoholic drinks/cocktails or coffee but I think if he had a Aspen, he wouldn't need much pain relief.

I tend to avoid the buffet, but I didn't mind it's set up in general, a bit of duplication of some stations (same on both sides) so to reduce traffic.

Might have been re arranged since I was on Solstice, some 5 years ago.:') I know I got 'lost in the buffet, perhaps it was the 3400 pax on board who all seemed to be in the buffet on embarkation day for their eagerly sought luncheon, as you do. The excitement of cruise ship buffet food reigns supreme, particularly for first time cruisers as many Solstice pax are.
