If you arrive before general boarding then the silver folder people will board first and may have a different waiting area. That's the way it was done on Eclipse in January. This was my main concern. We will all arrive together at the port, but it looks like we will be boarding at different times. Our reservations are linked, but I doubt that will matter. flyingv4me Posted April 3, 2018 #27 Share Posted April 3, 2018 October 2017 out of Miami on the Equinox in a SS we waited briefly with all of the other suite passengers, then Jole came down and walked all of us on board as a group and into Michaels. They almost certainly will let you board together; if they try to separate you at check-in, just inform they you are sailing together and both parties are in suites and request to board together. If not there should not be any difference based on my experience. If yes, then your travel companions can wait with you along with the other suite guests. Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted April 3, 2018 #30 Share Posted April 3, 2018 Linda - on my past several Celebrity cruises, while waiting in the Guest Relations line, junior officers always came out and approached passengers in the line (suite or non-suite) to screen their issues in advance. Some easy things (like stationary) can be addressed that way without waiting. As a tip, those in suites really never have to stand in a Guest Relations or Shore Excursions Desk line. The Michael's Club Concierge is part of Guest Relations and can handle most things for you, including booking excursions and printing out the tickets. They also arrange reps from Future Cruises to come to Michael's Club to meet with you and book cruises so you don't have to wait there either. The junior officer ignored those in front of the line and came directly to me. So she was not trying to do triage. I get that I need not have stood in line. Maya was very explicit about that. We were not to stand in line anywhere on the ship. I just didn't see the point of involving lots of people to carry out a very simple request. And yes, I've had a future cruise rep come to Michael's to book cruises. For that issue, I definitely appreciate not standing in line. This was not my first time in the PH. I'm well aware of the advantages, but I get to choose which ones to use. I really would have preferred to be an anonymous person standing in the line at GR. On one cruise there was a group traveling together: one couple in the Penthouse, one in the adjacent sky suite, and the 3rd in the adjacent CC cabin. They all checked in and boarded together and were escorted to Michaels Club. We were in a RS and just happened to check in before them and the escort waited for this group to check in before escorting the 8 of us on board. The silver Sea Pass Cards are used for all Sky and Celebrity suites. The perks are identical and you are treated the same in Michael's Club and Luminae. The only small difference that I experienced is that when we sailed a CS we were offered a bridge tour. But that might be because we are also CC Elite. Or just a coincidence. Nothing to be concerned about. The Royal and Penthouse suites get drinks in their cabins and specialty dining included but at a much higher cost of course. Wups. A few years ago there was a distinction but now only the RS and above get additional perks. Even as RS, we boarded at the same time as other Suites. Our suite was also available at the same time. Good point. I've never looked at the screen when we checked in at Luminae the first time. They ask for our card or suite number and then make sure we're legit. I suppose it probably shows as "RS", "PH", or whatever on the screen. In any case our service has always been the very best at both Luminae and Michaels, regardless of suite level. She asked if the Zenith suites were the best on board because of the way that everyone treated them so special and made a such a big deal about them. And we have received phone calls from a shoreside concierge when in a SS, but I suspect the shoreside concierges were having a slow day. Based upon allusions you've made in past posts, I suspect the calls you mention resulted from your Captain's Club status rather than that the shoreside concierges were having a slow day... I have really found no tangible differences between Sky suites and Celebrity suites. But I never sailed in anything above that. But honestly would not care. The Suite experience is great overall. On our last cruise we were in a suite and will be again this June. I didn't even think about using the Concierge as opposed to going to the main desk.
