Haha, good question. We wish we had more space of course, but honestly we haven’t missed it much. I thought I’d miss it a lot more and have a hard time with the change but it’s not been too bad. We had to be a bit more organized with our storage. If anything I miss access to Luminae and Michaels more.

This is so good to hear, as we know the suite life will not always be in the cards for us, but for now, we are just enjoying it! Later on we will have to bounce back and forth due to the continually high suite prices.

I am sitting here looking out the window at snow flurries and the fact that it will be 70 by the weekend!

Well, enjoy the time at sea that you have and bring her safely to Civi for me....Our friends, Connie and Mark are cruising with you on a b2b...Thanks for you enjoyable comments!!!

Hi Paul

This is may seem odd question for you!

I'm curious to know if you watch the Cruise Director's daily TV show?

Peter

I do actually! Edward gets tired of it because sometimes I’ll just have it playing as background noise as we’re getting ready. I’m watching it right now and so far they’ve been advertising all the Beyond the Podium speakers which have been interesting to hear about.

Hi Paul,

I am enjoying your daily posts very much. Thanks for taking the time. :-)

I wonder if you already experienced rocky seas in the last 3 days?

Regards from Germany

Christine

My pleasure. Thanks for following along! It has not been rocky at all. In fact it’s been pretty smooth. Last night while sleeping I did feel a little side to side motion but that was fine by the time I woke up. The captain did say that tomorrow should still be good but then we will have a couple day with 16/18ft waves.

We did meet a couple that was staying on after this cruise, but I forgot their names. I’ll have to keep an eye out for them.

I’m glad too we are happy with the standard cabin. It’s easy to get spoiled in a nice suite that’s for sure. Our next two cruises are booked in suites, however, just Sky Suites.

Melinda Bates was very interesting and entertaining on our WB TA on the Silhouette. She filled the theater every day, even at lunch time.

For lunch today we just ate at Mast Grill, after our morning cocktails by the pool of course. I then went and relaxed on the balcony and took a nap.

Not sure what we are doing for dinner tonight. Maybe Tuscan?

I want to make one mention about the crew and this goes for all the crew from the dealers in the casino to bartenders to wait staff or the cleaners in the bathroom. Even though we’re only a few days in, this crew has been fantastic. Truly top notch and eager to please with a smile on their face. Our room steward Antonio has been amazing. He chats with us each morning and always asks if there is anything at all we need. He honestly feels more like a butler than a room steward and we’ve already made sure to leave some written comments to guest relations about him. We’re in cabin 6160 so anyone staying near here hopefully you have him.

Wow...bet you don't want to know how cold it is in Chicago today or that they have now cancelled a couple of Cub games because of the weather!!!

Enjoy the sunshine and calm seas.

I just realized I don’t think I posted my room tour video. Here it is

2 interesting aspects of your video:

1) Our sailing on Silhouette is in 6243, which is 2C, supposedly obstructed, but only to the bottom of the balcony glass. Yours looks similar.

2) We have never been in a cabin where the bed is by the balcony. It looks like the wardrobe ( closet) is more accessible.

I totally agree with this!! We left the ship the day you embarked and this crew was fantastic!! EVERYONE was so happy and eager to please. Glad to know you are having the same experience.

I know this is a huge request, but if you or anyone can post menus from Luminae, I would be very, very thankful...but if not, no worries!

Lastdance - Download the Celebrity App. You can see all the menus for Luminae (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) as well as the MDR.

Yep just do that! You can pick my sailing and pull them up. If you can’t no worries I can screen shot them from the app for you and post them. Just let me know either way and I’ll take care of it.

Here is a quick photo view from our dinner tonight. Watching the sunset in Tuscan. Truly beautiful.

Where do you find the Celebrity app? I’ve looked on apps but I cannot find a app except for Xtravel cities and an Xshopping ?

Edit: found it by googling it! Then it came up in the App Store! Weird!

Love your review!

I found it in the Apple App Store. Takes some getting used to the navigation....

Got to ask what is that in the water, middle of your picture? Love following along on your cruise.

Nothing exciting. Just a light reflection from the lights inside. I tried to take a picture without it but that light was stubborn.

Today it is a little cooler and the wind is starting to pick up. I’m still in shorts at the pool bar as I’m sure the sun will warm things up shortly.

Yesterday we hit our usual martini bar before dinner. The DJ was there and was playing a nice mix of songs. No one beats DJ Mace that we had on the Eclipse but this DJ is pretty good.

After martini Bar we had dinner at Tuscan. We made reservations same day at 5 for 8pm. No problem and we got a beautiful window seat as you may have seen from last nights photos.

Usually in Tuscan we get steak or fish and just a pasta side. This time we just did pasta and some appetizers.

We started with bruschetta and carpaccio. Their bruschetta has an olive tapenade on it which usually I’m not a big fan of but it was well balanced on my piece and added some very nice saltiness. The carpaccio was excellent.

I then had the minestrone soup and Edward had the white bean soup. Both were great.

For pasta Edward had the short rib parpaddele and I had half portions of the lobster pasta with cream sauce and the carbonara. The lobster pasta despite being a cream sauce tasted light. The carbonara was a bit salty but that was because it was overloaded with pancetta and I love pancetta so it was a blessing and a curse. Edward loved his pasta, he never offered me a bite to try!

For dessert Edward had some vanilla gelato and I had the tiramisu. Their tiramisu has lots of cream which I love so I love their tiramisu. If you only like the lady’s finger portion you might only love the very center of it.
