INDI Bad news for Diamond and Diamond +

Recommended Posts

There is no "tone" in the written word, only what you read into something. I find Carole's posts very informative and to the point. Gee, maybe being a retired English teacher has something to do with it. She doesn't represent Royal. She is a cruiser that has taken more cruises than most of the posters on here, combined.

So maybe you need change your perception of the information presented.

Haha. No tone in the written word??? Tell that to Shakespeare.

To admit you were wrong, or not to admit you were wrong, is the question. Regardless of how you "perceive" the delivery, the content is succinct, relevant and formatted in a way that is easy to read.

English may not be my strong suit, but I can Google

In written composition, tone is often defined as what the author (rather than the reader) feels about the subject. (What the reader feels about it, by contrast, is referred to as the mood.) Tone is also sometimes confused with voice, which can be explained as the author's personality expressed in writing.

Laura says I have tone. Apparently that is bad.

I don't mind using the vouchers but I do hate that New Amsterdam vodka that is all over the ship. They even use it in the $12 (+) cosmos at the Champagne Bar on AD.

It's disgusting. I drank club soda instead so I guess it kept me healthier.

Buy a drink package and get the alcohol that pleases you. I like Tito’s.

That's why I liked to find a favorite bartender on each ship. Frequent them enough and throw them a little extra tip and they usually gave you your regular drink whether it was on the D menu or not. Now I just buy the package instead of spending time finding the right bartender and laying the groundwork.

We saw lots of push back from Lead Bartenders and officers onboard Harmony in April. They were watching to insure only Diamond alcohol was used during cocktail hours, even in the Suite Lounge. It’s like they have been told to enforce it.

Really? You Googled that so you could make a comment in a string you were not a part of? Figure out what my mood/tone might be now.......

Carole, I tried. I like your writing style, the content and your continuing contributions. Thank you.

Yep, we all gotta join a thread sometime. Didn't realize you had to be invited.

I like to stick up for the down trodden.

I don't mind being limited to the D lounge but the New Amsterdam is killin me. After I take a sip, I can't smile. I tried really hard.

It’s like requiring everyone over 21 in a cabin to buy a package of some sort. Nobody is forcing anyone to drink crap. If you want to drink the “Good Stuff”, Buy the DP or go ala carte.

Just like I was sticking up for someone that was being called a shill for Royal. Apparently that was okay with you.

I like/respect MM.

See post #97

Just tired of being told you can't write with tone.

We are saying the same thing! I was sticking up for her with the other poster who was complaining about how she "said" things. How they called her arrogant and sarcastic. I call it matter of fact based on her experience, like I respect what you say about cruising based on your way more vast experience.

The person I called out appeared to know nothing of her yet was willing to make derogatory comments.

Wow, these threads are typically the dumbest of the threads in this forum, and this one might be the nastiest for a while. MM is a very helpful poster. I am D+, I have never done a B2B more less a B2B2B. I work for a living and I am not retired, nor when I retire will I be able to afford to cruise in a suite for months at a time for most of the year. (Don’t cry for me Argentina, we do well, but not my passion).

Apparently normal cruisers who do 5 posts in their posting lifetime and all are hateful attacks are more helpful than posters who will answer any intelligent question posted by anyone with great helpful hints with wit and intelligence.

I have learned something today. It is always good to pop open those special created identities when you want to brand what people post are irrelevant because they work for the man.

I assume Bob will be asked to remove my post, and he has my blessing.

Seems to be par for the course on a number of threads, especially those concerning tipping and dress codes.

Nice new furniture at the outside seating area of the suite lounge,

The Diamond lounge is mirror image opposite ( without the cushioned chairs)

Barely more than 15 people in the DL in the evenings.

I have just got off the 2n cruise.
