mina Posted June 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2018 We just came back from an excellent cruise on the crown. Great service, great room and the ship looks great. We had a few punches left on our free elite coffee cards (switch out for mini). I put the card inside the blue binder in cabin b749 for a future cruiser to find. The card has an expire date of 12/31/18 and we are not cruising again till 2019.

floridalover5623 Posted June 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 2, 2018 It's doubtful if anyone actually looks inside those binders? I used to leave items (patters, decent coupons) in the life jackets but hardly anyone even bothers to untie them any more.
rocklinmom Posted June 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 2, 2018 I always look through the blue binder and would be delighted to find your coffee card. :-)
KBS1607 Posted June 2, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 2, 2018 I always read everything in binders in cabins and hotel rooms. That was very thoughtful. I hope someone finds it.
moki'smommy Posted June 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 2, 2018 Hopefully, you put a note with it...like "enjoy." I'd feel guilty thinking that someone forgot it and I had no way to contact them.
Rare 1025cruise Posted June 2, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 2, 2018 I would assume that the steward thumbs through the binders as they make the room ready, saw it, and probably disposed of it. Or brought it to lost and found assuming it was forgotten.
moki'smommy Posted June 2, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 2, 2018 The sharing part of the idea is a good one. Is it a violation of CC policy to have a thread where those with leftovers that they are unable to use can offer them to someone with an upcoming cruise at no charge? victory2020 Posted June 2, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 2, 2018 I used to put coupons for attractions at the home port in the binder .Another good place to put a coffee card would be the safe with a little note. I don't think the cabin stewards go in there because I have found little things of no worth in them.
pablo222 Posted June 2, 2018 #12 Share Posted June 2, 2018 The sharing part of the idea is a good one. Is it a violation of CC policy to have a thread where those with leftovers that they are unable to use can offer them to someone with an upcoming cruise at no charge? No good deed goes unpunished. This just seems like a nice thing to do for the next occupant. If it is against some CC policy, there are certainly moderators here to award (giggle) demerit points, and other correspondents need not worry about it. On some other cruise lines, it's common to leave partially used cards like this in the bible.

tt_moore Posted June 3, 2018 #15 Share Posted June 3, 2018 I read once that someone put alcoholic coupons in the bible....with a relevant verse about vices. Haha maybe there is a relevant one for coffee cards. I always read the books. What a fun surprise.

I feel the same way. I peruse several cruise line boards and rarely post for the same reason. I find some really great information from nice people like you on these boards. However it seems the Princess board has more unpleasant posters compared to some of the other boards I visit. It’s a shame. If you can’t say something nice then don’t say anything at all. Rare geoherb Posted June 3, 2018 #22 Share Posted June 3, 2018 I once left a wine card with a couple of punches left on it on a HAL ship. Of course that was back when they had wine cards, many years ago. Sent from my SM-J727P using Forums mobile app
flamomo Posted June 3, 2018 #23 Share Posted June 3, 2018 When/if Princess reads this post about your kindness, they'll probably decide to require that the cruiser's name be written IN INK on the card, and the employee at the coffee bar will be required to compare the name on the coffee card with the passenger's cruise card before serving you, so no-one else can use it!! Seems like they have gotten that money hungry!!! :-(
