Thanks. I checked the European sailing and noticed that the only ships included in this were the 2 Pinnacle ships, even the N Statendam's premiere voyage.

I am still waiting for the private sales. :(

Have you called to check and see if you might qualify but didn't get notified? That is what I had to do. I guess I might have gotten an email back there somewhere but it never showed me the private sale prices on the website.

The private sale price offer we qualified for expires July 6th. It was about $180 pp better for a cat. VC stateroom for a 7 nighter than the current deals but no fancy bells and whistles, just a lower fare. I'll measure it up against Explore 4 when it comes out later this month as I know we want the beverage package.

Yes... More info please!!!

Does one have to be 'qualified' for this???

I don't think I am seeing any changes to our sailing on the NS, for next year, when I pull it up online.

Is there a name for this sale?

I wonder what sailing dates are included...

Might put a phone call in to our TA????

Sorry for my ignorance but what is a private sale?

The Canadians!

From what I understand it is a sale that is linked up to your Mariner number and not publicly offered or published. Other than having cruised with HAL/star status and maybe how long it has been since your last cruise (maybe??) I don't know the other determining factors.

I also didn't get a sale notice. So to compare my price with the current price, I used the HAL Website as if booking a new cruise. I was asked to log in to see best prices. The VA staterooms on the same deck/location as mine were more than the price I had already booked - by about $200 per person. But they weren't as high as I had seen other times.

(Other than not being able to see my Mariner status for a couple days, I've not had problems with the new Website. But then, I never used the old one. I've just learned my way around it as I have to do with any that I've not used before.)

This is probably my biggest frustration with the new site. I used to be able to distinguish the private sale prices from the regular prices when I logged into the old site. Now they're all the same. Even if I log in the price doesn't change. :(

I receive Private Sale brochures in the mail quite often. The pricing is almost always higher than what my Mariner number gives me.

It would be good if HAL were to go back to the "Green" special pricing mode. It made things a lot more straightforward.

I normally find the Private Sale fares to be fairly good. When I check online, I also get a lower price than the brochure pricing, but in my case that is because I get a small (10%) casino discount. When I compare it to the published regular price at that time (get when not logged into my account), it is always lower.

I never receive emails from HAL and very rarely get their mailings. It could be because I don't cruise very often but it costs them almost nothing to send out an email. I wonder why they don't. I receive them from several other lines.

I got a mailer in the mail yesterday for as low as $99 interior rooms on a handful of 7 day Caribbean Cruises and also $100 in casino play to go with that. Very generous

That was the casino mailer - only a select few got it. I was not one of them!

The 2 week sale, that lasts a little over 2 weeks.

I hope that Hal didn't spend too much time deciding what to call this promo.Sandra

They should have named it "Sale to fill in the gap between the Ready Set Sail and Explore4 Sales"
