not anymore from what I understand....but wait, maybe not really...as some posters have posted seeking a different cruise code for the same cruise and it may be less without the sip n sail

contact Princess or your TA

Some of the same sip and sail cruises can also be purchased using a non-refundable deposit fare. We saved oodles by doing it this way for a sailing next October ... over $1200 for the cabin. We know for sure that we are wanting to go on this sailing and since it is so far off, will be buying the insurance for it anyway.

Agree, we saved over $700 each by not taking the sip n sail promotion. Figured couldn't drink $700 worth of drinks. Didn't see this published anywhere, but asked our travel agent about OBC like previous promotions and she found the reduced fare instead.

I booked a Sip n' Sail cruise in Oct. 2017 for a sailing in March 2019 and got OBC instead of the Sn'S.

When did they stop allowing this?

The current S&S promo does not allow OBC substitute for the Drinks as the previous S&S promo did.

But as previous posted did , there is a lower cruise rate for those that don’t wish the drinks . Contact a Good TA for the Saver Fare .

You can ask for the price without "sip & sail" and still have a refundable deposit.

Princess has a "super" lower fare that is non- refundable and not combinable with any of the promotions

The "super" lower fare does combine with the casino discount

What is casino rate/discount?

On most cruises passengers who use the casino frequently usually get a discounted rate but usually it cannot be combined with a promo such as sip and sail. This discount is different from cruise cash promotions when you are offered money in chips or for slot play due to heavy casino play which must be used on a different cruise within the next 6 months

Thanks for insight, not a gambler so had no idea! Shows that finding the right cruise at the best fare is a complicated thing. Normally I have booked directly with Princess, but tried a travel agent for a 2019 cruise and she found the lower fare for us without the sip n sail promotion.

Was surprised at how much can be saved by not taking the Sip and Sail, but - deposit not being refundable has me on the fence - we used FCD’s for deposit (Sky Princess 2020) - a lot can happen between now and then. I did ask my TA to double check on the this as we’ve never lost FCD’s before - she said indeed we would. I personally wish Princess would offer the OBC they used to instead of the Sip and Sail and keep the deposit refundable.

We booked months in advance of the Sip and Sail. When the promo came out the cabin shot up by $1,200 ($500 per person The fare actually went up when the Landmark Sale came out but it stayed the same for the Sip and Sail. To heck with that. I downgraded from balcony to Premium Ocean View for $1,400 less (less than we had paid for the cabin which was already $1,200 less than Princess was asking with the promo!) and we will do our drinking on that $1,400 savings.
