You might get someone currently on Pursuit to check the ladies changing room. There certainly wasn’t one in December and a lady came into the hairdresser with wet hair seeking help. The cheeky young gent hairdresser onboard was unhelpful to say the least. I felt sorry for the guest. She had to ring her husband to bring the one from her cabin up

Thanks for that, I’ll add that there may not be one on the Pursuit.

Tips are time sensitive- as I said someone needs to check if that’s still the case. Pursuit was certainly work in progress in December it could have been the hairdresser being unhelpful (his stance was the only hairdryers were in the salon and a blow dry would cost X), the hairdryer hadn’t been delivered (certainly wasn’t there) and was coming or they’ve withdrawn that facility when refurbishment was happening

I’ll be on the Pursuit in November and can check it then. Anyone else reading this who will be on the Pursuit before then, it would be helpful if you could check it out for Cruise Critic Members, please.

I take your point about ‘Tips’ being time sensitive - I’ll put a note at the top of the spreadsheet to point this out.

I also hope people reading this topic will continue to let us know when things have changed or posts are inaccurate to help ‘Azamara Newbies’ and so I can update the spreadsheet accordingly

Bonnie has said that luggage labels are now only printable as part of your Azamara documentation.

They will no longer be sent out (though some US cruisers have been able to get them by emailing Azamara to request them - possibly using up existing stocks)

I have amended the spreadsheet to reflect this change. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15Deg-GaeZYLml8NN3PVwoh_jUkQ8QmYUe1wxnVAlODE

Good morning, just an FYI, the "luggage tag" field was on my reservation on line.  After I completed my On line check in information, that field was there and I filled out the information and hit "Submit".....the luggage tags were mailed to me via the US POSTAL service.  I received them about a week ago.

I have now found that Azamara is requiring boarding passes and selecting a boarding time.  I checked-in for the cruise a month ago and these two items were not there.  Something new?

Haven't checked for our June cruise, yet.  Perhaps this is another step toward "homogenizing" procedures for all the Royal Caribbean Cruise products?

I know that people that use the new app said that’s how it was for them, but the app only works with the Pursuit at the moment.

The cruise is on the Pursuit. Check-in times of 2-2:30, 2:30-3, and 3-3:30 are the only ones offered.  Check-in starts at 1 pm. I like to check in early.  Azamara has not communicated this change.

I like the personal touch that Azamara has been known for not the "one size fits all" approach.

Disappointing to hear. Like you, we like to check in early and get lunch onboard. We often get to the dock by 12:00ish.

I wonder what happens to people who are arriving by plane mid-morning on embarkation day.

That is news to me as well. It's not something we usually have a problem with (managing crowds at boarding I mean) so let me check this out for you.

We checked in before noon on our cruise last summer and it took all of 10 minutes

That what we usually find too. The only time it hasn’t worked like that is when we got onboard Quest in Singapore and it had had to have a deep clean, so we had to wait for a couple of hours, along with everyone else.

We had to pick a boarding time for our March 1st cruise on Journey  as well but arrived one hour earlier and this was no problem. We had our boarding  passes within 3 minutes.

Thank you.  That was the info I needed.

I was wondering about the status of the casino on the Quest.  Here is the response that I received today from Azamara:

"The Quest will be going into drydock at the end of this month (March 2019).  At that time, yes the casino will be removed to be updated more like the Pursuit."

I checked out the deck plans for the Pursuit.  The casino space on the Quest will be changed into a bar area that also contains the Excursion desk and the Future cruises desk.  It will be called "The Den Powered by AFAR".

Right.  And it's a lovely, useful area on Pursuit.

Host Grandma,

Does Discoverer Plus get free laundry coupon per cruise or per week?

The answer is one free bag per stateroom(not per person) per 7 nights - so none for a cruise under 7 nights, 1 for a cruise of 7-13 nights, 2 for 14-21 nights etc.

I think maybe three bags for 21 nights?  Though not many of such length.
