Partying down on the last night of the cruise (them, not me) it's strange. I look down there and there are people much older than me just getting down on the dance floor. Here I am, a much younger ( but, still pretty old) person, but I'm totally worn out and ready for bed...

I feel like an old fart for bailing on you fine people like this... I'm about to put in a wake up call for 6:15

I guess it's obvious that my life is in need of a real wake up call...

Until coffee time in the morning... I'm out...IMG_20181006_221028.thumb.jpg.be650775b02c11b5915f72467e97fdad.jpg

Sid you really should consider writing a travel blog. Your writing and pictures are great. I like your sense of humor. I think a lot of people would enjoy reading about travels. I know I like reading them. I’m sure everyone would agree you’d be great at it

Those folks took a nap:)

I'm sorry you are headed off the ship this morning and back to work. I've enjoyed your adventure and reading your review every day this past week. Thank YOU for sharing.

As far as life - it's constantly changing and doesn't always bring us what we expect or want but sometimes brings us surprises. Something I told my "baby" brother (he towers over me at 6'7") a long time ago when he was struggling that seemed to stick with him is "the grass is greener where we water it." I wish for you some grass you want to water and I will be actively looking for your next adventure.

Unfortunately, the Captain found his way all the way back to Miami, and soon it will be over for real real...

My Cheers still works for my morning coffee, so that's some good news...

Also, someone abandoned a genuine piece of ship on a stick. If I had room in my luggage I would bring it home and send it to one of you great readers who followed along on this epic journey.

I'm at MIA right now, a full 2 1/2 before my flight... I'll go back to the time just after the omelette and continue from there.

I headed back to my cabin and took care of all my last minute packing. I had a shower and got ready for the really loooong day I have today.

At around 7:34 I left the cabin (the intrusive room steward was knocking already) I grabbed my bags and walked down the stairs to deck 3... Just as I reached the bottom of the stairs, a group of priority debarkers were filing out of the theater. I just blended into the line, acting like I was lost or something. I literally never stopped walking, and I was off the ship in exactly one minute from when I reached the bottom of the stairs.

Malcolm, the cruise director and I had a final fist bump and farewell, and next thing I knew I was in the tunnel...

The calm before the next storm... And the line for customs...

Strange thing. The agent asked who I was with. I told him I was by myself. He asked where I was from and what my job was. He asked if I had anything to declare. I told him a suitcase full of dirty laundry. And then he said have a good day... I normally just sail right through without a hitch, but this guy was on his game.

A few minutes later I was in a taxi on the way to Miami airport. I normally use Uber, but my luck with them in Miami hasn't been the greatest. I decided to take the sure thing, and I was on my way.

I checked in at the kiosk, and printed my boarding pass. My TSA pre check got me through in about three minutes. There wasn't really a line for non pre check anyway. Now I'm waiting at the gate contemplating if I want to go ahead and bag up my suitcase for a bathroom run...

I guess I will go ahead and bag it on up... No sense in suffering. I know it's not environmentally friendly to waste bags like this, but this bag is pretty new, and I have no idea what's on the floor in there.

***Note: I do know what's on the floor in there, that's why I'm doing this...
