Drummer72 Posted October 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2018 although we have been on several cruises previously. We are thinking about a last minute booking on the Anthem. I just read the ship does not have a pullman. And the couch will accommodate 2 people. We are a family of 4, my boys are 12 & 14. Anyone out there have any pros or cons to the bedding set up on the quantum class ships. Im just affrriad it will be uncomfortable for them. I appreciate any feedback. :o
Clarea Posted October 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2018 If I am not mistaken, I believe Anthem has trundle style sofa beds.
cb at sea Posted October 7, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2018 They are young enough to not be "uncomfortable"....teens can sleep anywhere!
gaylemh Posted October 7, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 7, 2018 The sofa pulls out like a trundle bed. You can keep one lower so they don't have to sleep next to each other.
matj2000 Posted October 7, 2018 #5 Share Posted October 7, 2018 You really don't think a 12 & 14 y/o are going to be uncomfortable because of bedding?
taglovestocruise Posted October 7, 2018 #6 Share Posted October 7, 2018 Unless you booked under a kids sail free program you might check into a inside cabin for the kids. The price difference for a inside compared to 2 extra in a balcony is sometimes comparable if not cheaper.

And, the cost of 2 insides was crazy. I guess i will be drinking a lot on this one🥃[emoji485]🥂[emoji898][emoji484][emoji482] Sent from my iPad using Forums

They are made up separately with their own linens. Welcome to Cruise Critic.
BND Posted October 7, 2018 #10 Share Posted October 7, 2018 My now grown sons were fine sharing a bed when they were 2 and 4, but by 12 and 14 not so much. Even if they are "separate" beds perse, they're still not each a full size or even really twin size and not separated by any real space. 12 and 14 year olds can be as big as an adult. Rouque Posted October 7, 2018 #11 Share Posted October 7, 2018 I have 12 and 15 year old boys. They sleep on the pull out couch on Anthem - no problem.

lovescats5 Posted October 8, 2018 #14 Share Posted October 8, 2018 If there is room you might see about a roll-away bed.
ONECRUISER Posted October 8, 2018 #15 Share Posted October 8, 2018 If there is room you might see about a roll-away bed. Nope, not an option. Wouldn't be room anyway...
brookmill18 Posted October 8, 2018 #16 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Prob still fine, but how tall are they? Our 6'2" DS hangs off the singles...not a deal breaker, but better that they know ahead of time!
Rala Posted October 8, 2018 #17 Share Posted October 8, 2018 They are young enough to not be "uncomfortable"....teens can sleep anywhere! ...and once again I ask (in vain), have you done a survey? At 12 and 14 they are not babies, and could very well be uncomfortable on some beds.

At 12 and 14 they are not babies, and could very well be uncomfortable on some beds. And you will never get a response. In case you haven’t noticed, there are certain “canned” responses to various queries - usually incorrect. I’m thinking they’re on auto text. In any event, the two teens are being taken on a cruise, the trundle type beds are way better than a regular sofa bed and they will have a great time. ZoeyVictoria Posted October 8, 2018 #19 Share Posted October 8, 2018 If my sons at ages 12 and 14 were asked to choose between comfortable beds at home and uncomfortable beds on a cruise ship, I am sure I know what their answers would have been.
