If Royal up bid gets their act together and grabs the bids BEFORE boarding...there would be no on board upgrade needed. 😮 Waiting until after sail away in the middle of the night....leaves the door wide open at GS desk. 😉

Some people will be canceled at port when an unvaccinated child tests positive. Others will hear just hours before the cruise that a close contact tested positive. Somebody will wake up with symptoms on the day of the cruise.
3kidsncats Posted January 14, 2022 #6332 Share Posted January 14, 2022 Hopefully we aren’t one of the ones that tests positive or wakes up with symptoms….because we finally got our JS confirmation, with a sweet junior suite in the hump, deck 13!! 🎉🎉
Rare binro01 Posted January 14, 2022 #6333 Share Posted January 14, 2022 So color me curious. I'm currently booked in a guarantee Ocean View Balcony on Allure OTS for my Feb 27th cruise. I received my Royal Up invitation email. I can bid on 2 classes of larger balcony rooms, and Jr Suites, Grand Suites, 2Br Grand Suites, and Owner Suites, but not the CLS suites which like the other suites is just a sky class suite... Kinda bummed about that. I was willing to make a reasonable bid for one of those rooms, now I guess we are just going to make lowball bids on the GS and JS. Anyone know why I would not have the ability to bid on a CLS?

Ahh.. I wonder why the CLS category is above a GS 2BR or an OS. Those rooms usually go for more than the CLS.

imola Posted January 15, 2022 #6337 Share Posted January 15, 2022 We are still waiting to hear about our bid for Navigator OTS that sails on Monday. RC website shows cabins available in every category and ready for purchase at very high prices. Our bid still says "pending" so I guess we have a chance but not holding out to much hope. Now we just have to test negative in the morning and we are ready to go.
MaryZ Posted January 15, 2022 #6338 Share Posted January 15, 2022 On the Anthem for 1/20, we have a large balcony and were able to big on loft suites, owners suites, grand suites etc. I did put in a bid but we are good with our balcony. The loft suite looked cool.
flkaren71 Posted January 15, 2022 #6339 Share Posted January 15, 2022 (edited) Just sharing. Our Royal up bid was accepted two days ago. Independence of the Seas, January 31, 2022. (4night) we were in a “free“ guaranteed balcony casino comp. We bid on three rooms, Grand Suite 2 bedroom, Grand Suite one bedroom, and a Junior suite. Won our bid for the one bedroom grand suite at $245 per person. First time in a Grand Suite! Super excited! And only because it's sort of unique. We had a grand suite on the New Years cruise. We weren't impressed. Royal's suites don't offer the amenities of NCL, Celebrity or MSC for us to bother with. Given that they are still selling cabins the light for us is dimming I am afraid. We head out about 7 am tomorrow for San Pedro, a 500 mile trip. I have realized that we can do muster drill and health questionnaire both before boarding so that will help.
