Suite Canapes

Do I understand correctly that if u are in a suite they bring u treats each night?  What is available?  And do u order them on the first day of the cruise or day by day?

A canapé menu will be delivered to you each day for the following evening. 

You get to select up to 6. 

After about two nights we found the joy was gone.

Pretty much, we’ll, nothing.

i still like the thought of receiving the canapé menu.  I don't order them every night, but I like the idea😊

Not worth it.   They have been the same ones forever..   The bacon wrapped pretzel is soggy and tastes terrible.  Can't remember the others.    But two weeks ago,  they came the first formal before we could say no to them.   Now there are only 6 instead of eight -  I would rather have zero.   Who knows how long they were sitting in the galley.  Wish they would change them.

I agree they are all bad.  I wish they would bring back the chocolate covered strawberries even if the changed it to fewer strawberries.  They are WAY better than any of the canapés available now.

Agree...they were pretty bad.  We didn't bother after the 2nd day...just went to Concierge lounge and picked up snacks if we wanted them

For reasons I totally don’t understand, we got 6 chocolate covered strawberries two different nights without asking. They just showed up.

In our two suite experiences we received a plate of eight canapes on sailaway day without requesting them.  As others have indicated you can have them delivered on subsequent days, but you have to order them.  We enjoyed them on sailaway day, but did not order them for subsequent days.  No reason.

 

I have to laugh at the comment that they are "not worth it."  Nobody books a suite to get the canapes.  It's part of the suite package.  I can't wait to see the comment that the bottles of water that are included in the suite are "not worth it," or the potted orchid in the suite sitting room is "not worth it."

We received a tray of 6 or 8 chocolates that were really good on formal nights....normally I wouldn't eat them but as I say they were really good!!

Forgot about those. We also got assorted chocolates on formal nights.  😋😋

Yes, I'd also forgotten about those.  We also received a plate of very tasty chocolates on our last cruise on one of the formal nights.  The funny thing is the lady who delivered them said they were from the casino.

 

That struck my as funny because neither of us had so much as walked through the casino.  So, I tried to make her believe that there must have been some sort of mistake.  She was not to be denied.  She was much more stubborn that I was.  So, I accepted them.

I don't waste my time or appetite on the canapes.  It's not as if I am starving without them!!

 

On the other hand, the Casino did deliver us chocolate covered strawberries twice (once, a plate of 4 and once a plate of two strawberries and two truffles [chocolate, not mushrooms]) which I did eat.  As Ep01 noted, you can't turn down the Chocolate Fairy!

Are we talking about the Canapes for Suite guests or Canapes for formal night?    It's been a while but when we had a window suite the Canapes we received in the suite were different then what we normally received in a balcony .  Seemed fresher and a better quality.

It amazes me how often a Cruise Critic poster will ask a perfectly legitimate question about a offering or option or service, and people will jump in with something like, "Oh, I would never do that, it's no good, it's not worth it, it's stupid."

 

The question above posed by the OP was regarding procedures--not value, or quality.

 

Now, also in this case, the respondents to which I am referring are participants with tens of thousands of posts.  So, I guess their bona fides are obvious.

 

Now watch.  Somebody will find an old post of mine demonstrating that I've done the same thing.
