Maybe they are holding out until they have completed fixing problems that customers are complaining about.

The one thing that amazes me about them not posting pictures is they have about 20 posted on their website for agents and vendors.   That is where I got the ones I recently posted.  I would think they would post them on their website before TA's start posting them.

I don’t agree.  If Celebrity would post pictures and information about exactly what was done to the Millenium then all of us could make informed decisions based upon fact as opposed to speculation.  It makes me sad and frustrated and angry that Celebrity has yet to update their website with anything since the Millenium came out of drydock 2 plus weeks ago.  It is the same BS that we have seen promoting the KH designs.  They couldn’t have taken photographs as areas of the ship and cabins and suites were completed?  Of course they could have done so.  Instead people are begging current cruisers for basic information.

Perhaps their leadership in some sick and stupid way thinks that this increases the interest and buzz.  That is totally insulting to me and to our community.  Imagine, as an example, if Lexus came out with a totally redesigned SUV and only showed stupid mock-ups on their website and expected their customers to buy it now.  At least if they were idiotic enough to do that one could go to the dealership and see the real product.

From my perspective this this is inexcusable at this point.  Celebrity, stop insulting us and show us the real product.  Are you ashamed of it?  Stop the KH crutch and show us and give us real information about the product.  Stop insulting your loyal and future cruisers.  You have about $35,000 of my money for upcoming cruises in the PS.  I am sick of this BS.

I was speaking specifically about restaurants. The revised deck plans for Millennium have been on the Celebrity website for a couple weeks now. https://www.celebritycruises.com/cruise-ships/celebrity-millennium  It can be clearly seen that there have been no changes to which restaurants are offered onboard. The only one that was supposed to change according to materials from Celebrity prior to the drydock was Qsine to Le Petit Chef. According to travelers onboard who have been posting here on Cruise Critic that change did not happen. Someone onboard that ship also reported that they were told that Summit would also not be getting the change to LPC. (We won't know that for sure until it comes out of drydock).  All other updates on that ship will be the same as Millennium though, i.e. no new restaurants to be added and none being taken away. I'm not sure why people are acting all confused here on this forum and within these threads when the information has been discussed here over the past several weeks including live reports from people onboard who have been answering questions. If you want to diverge from the point I was making and get into talking about certain cabin categories that we haven't seen pictures of yet, yes, some of that information has been hard to come by, but my post further up was only referring to restaurants and people making wild speculations about things like the Retreat area taking the place of the Lawn, or Murano and Tuscan going away, which are things that Celebrity has never ever mentioned. There were no surprises with the Millennium updates, i.e. we didn't get anything added to the ship that Celebrity didn't tell us about in advance (decor choices aside); there were no new restaurants or bars or entertainment venues that weren't already spelled out in their press releases (like the addition of new cabins, a reworked Oceanview or the Retreat sundeck). So people should not be expecting surprise new additions to any of the other M class or S class ships beyond what Celebrity has already talked about in press releases. Continuing to make speculations like that just gets people riled up unnecessarily or sets them up for disappointment when things that were speculated about don't come to pass. It was a different story a year ago when we had scant information about what the plans for the Revolution updates were going to be but we are well past that now.

As probably expected the finishing touches to the refurbishment is an on going scenario. We have regularly smelled turps when walking around the ship and yesterday our room had a visit and we had bars added to the dressing table shelves, a new grille for the aircon, new alarms/sensors and protection bars on the drop down bed.

Chezmarylou!  You’re right we also were on Reflection 11/26!  Sorry, I misunderstood about  the Murano statement.  I didn’t know that it was not on Millie.  We love Murano and enjoyed it twice on the Reflection cruise.  I hope they’ll keep on the ships it is on presently.

Happy sailing!

Looks like refurbishment is still in progress to install all those little things that didn't get completed.

We were on Constellation just before their last upgrade and they had works on the ship for a full month pre-dry dock.

Thanks so much for posting the information about the elevator to the retreat area!  That really relieves our mind in regard to wheelchair access to the retreat area.  We are really hopeful that the same wheelchair accessible features for the retreat (hot tub lift and elevator) will be put in place during the refurbishment of the Summit.

I expect you will see the exact same  on Summit.   I think it would be a nice addition to the S-Class to the Lawn instead of the open bay lift they have.

I agree.  I think it is also better than the ramp to the retreat on the Edge.   In addition, the open bay lifts often have problems.  On the Summit, there is an open bay lift to the roof top terrace.  On the five cruises we have had on the Summit (since the lift was installed to provide wheelchair access to the terrace), the lift has been operational on only one.  An actual elevator should eliminate those issues.

Art is of course subjective, but I think that's a bit ugly.  Would anyone want this in their house?

But then again.    I enjoy the artwork around most of the Celebrity Fleet but wouldn't want most of it in my home.
