Docking in Roatan

Definitely Mahogany Bay.  There is a beach right there, with ski-type chair lift to the beach, or it is walkable.  We chose to do the chair-lift for the novelty of it.  Also shops are at the port.  We never left that area, which is unusual for us.   We had a nice, relaxing day!

Mahogany Bay was built by Carnival Corp for its ships.  The entrance to the pier is very close and difficult and winds of any velocity can be a problem due to the very narrow entrance.  Two ships are allowed one behind the other at the pier.  The area around the pier is well developed by Carnival and is entertaining or you can go on excursions further into the island.

Thx for the link. We will be on the Royal Princess docking at Roatan on Jan 22. I just looked at the link to see if any other ships are there with us and noticed a ship called Artania is also docking at Roatan.  I’ve never heard of this ship, so Looked It up and found out it was originally built in 1984 by Princess as the Royal Princess.  Funny coincidence!!

Thank you for this info.  I may just stay put right there by the ship.  Looks like there is plenty to do
