No formal night on cruises under 5 days. I apologize for the misinformation in my prior post.
cruzsnooze Posted January 30, 2019 #6 Share Posted January 30, 2019 If you check your cruise personalizer it tells you how many causal nights
Rare geoherb Posted January 30, 2019 #7 Share Posted January 30, 2019 Instead of a formal night, they usually designate one night as "dress to impress." It's not a real formal night, but you'll see a few couples dressed up to take photos around the places the staff have set up.
floridalover5623 Posted January 30, 2019 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2019 As mentioned above, they call it a "dress to impress" night. Some people will bring the extra clothing but most wear casual clothing & enjoy the DR just as well.
Thrak Posted January 30, 2019 #9 Share Posted January 30, 2019 From Princess info: Length of Cruise Number of Formal Evenings 1 - 4 Days = 0 5 - 6 Days = 1 7 - 13 Days = 2 14 - 20 Days = 3 21 - 28 Days = 4 29+ Days = 5 Minimum
RMM34667 Posted January 31, 2019 Author #10 Share Posted January 31, 2019 Thanks all. Don't usually do short cruises Unless it's followed by another cruise but just lost my favorite cruise partner (mom) after a long difficult illness. She was a milestone Princess cruiser who took me on my first cruise (on the Caribbean Princess) in 2004 or 5. I know I have said this before but the formal night photos throughout the years are treasured. I want to leave some for my children.
