Rare Peachypooh Posted February 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2019 Ugh. I just can't figure out the new search function so please help me answer this question. If I own at least 100 shares of NCL stock will I get $100 onboard credit? That is what a fellow cruiser told me. How do you prove you have the shares? Thanks. ColinIllinois Posted February 4, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2019 Scroll down to the bottom of the NCL home page. Click on "For Investors". That is where you will find all the FAQ's for that.

don't-use-real-name Posted February 5, 2019 #8 Share Posted February 5, 2019 Not to take the wind out of sailing (cruising) - that OBC as with all other OBCs that are not paid by the guest can not be used to pay for the DSC. Also read recently here something about that OBC can't be used in conjunction with some perks - promos - upgrading ? - something about double dipping the system - looking back I can't find it right now ? Still yet a $100 is a hundred dollars off of each cruise one takes on NCL. At the least it is a sort of non-taxable dividend on stock that NCL does not currently pay. Can be used to pay for a CruiseNext certificate though which is all I use it for.

Of course it can't be used for that. It is money they are giving us from the company so it wouldn't make sense they would let us use if for DSC. The actually $100 isn't really going to cost them anything. We usually use the money in the gift shop or toward tours.
CardFanDubG Posted February 5, 2019 #13 Share Posted February 5, 2019 It can also be used in the casino minus a 3% fee ($100 - $3=$97). I have done that many times. Used it as cash in the port. OK used it in the casino too 🙂 2

That's a great question because the T&Cs clearly state that a single travelling will get full OBC if they pay 200% of applicable fare ..... that is not what a Studio pays. Send an email to ShareholderBenefit@ncl.com for an accurate and official answer. Edited February 7, 2019 by esm54687
dlb0032 Posted February 19, 2020 #20 Share Posted February 19, 2020 Anyone find out the answer if you book a Studio room do you get the OBC for having the stock? I am going to email NCL today and ask that.
PlayCousin Posted February 19, 2020 #21 Share Posted February 19, 2020 Not official answer but I've received the full shareholder credit when sailing solo in studios or other staterooms.
Rare luv2kroooz Posted February 19, 2020 #22 Share Posted February 19, 2020 If you are paying 200%, then yes, you get the full amount. If paying less than 200%, the solo benefit is applied inconsistently. Sometimes you'll get full credit for sailing solo and other times just 50%. HuliHuli Posted February 22, 2020 #25 Share Posted February 22, 2020 Following this week's earnings call, NCLH shares lost over $4/share due to corona virus impacts, but analysts continue to issue Buy ratings with price targets for the stock in the $60 range. Sounds like a win-win to me with the OBC.
