mellon1 Posted February 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2019 Just looking and wondering how much it is for the Sky Princess Sky Suite? It looks like it would be very very very expensive. Anyone have pricing going out of Ft. Lauderdale for 7 days? I can't seem to find the pricing on the Princess site.

Thorpe Posted February 26, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 26, 2019 I found it very hard to find a cruise where those suites weren’t booked out. But I did manage it a few months ago and for 3 people sailing in one it was approx $1100 each per night. That is in Australian $. That is just a ballpark figure from memory. mellon1 Posted February 27, 2019 Author #9 Share Posted February 27, 2019 (edited) OK, so I called Princess and the rooms are all booked for February 2020 for the Sky Princess--Sky Suite. I asked the gal at Princess if she could let me know how much it was, just so I would know if we could even afford it. She gave me an "approximate" based on February 2020--7 days in the Sky Suite. It is $6,879 pp and $136.80 port fees, so $7,015 pp or $14,031.00 for 7 nights for 2 people--this was for the Eastern Caribbean. Just in case anyone was wondering. Kankakee Kid Posted February 27, 2019 #10 Share Posted February 27, 2019 So $2000 a night. For 2 people. Yikes. That’s more than 7 cruises. So a Sky suite for a week. Or a standard balcony for 49 days. I’ll take the 49 days.

This may seem high; but it is in line with the the Deluxe Haven Suite on Norwegian ships; or the Crown Loft Suites on Royal Caribbean

IF a couple makes a combined $140K per year that trip is 10% of their income!!!! I can only hope to have that kind of disposable income one day 🙂 Median US household income for 2013 - 2017 was only $57,652. https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/US/PST045218 Edited February 27, 2019 by JennyB1977

I think that b/c it has 2 full bedrooms and 2 full baths, that 2 couples may split. There are a lot of wealthy people apparently as they are sold out.

Loreni Posted March 6, 2019 #15 Share Posted March 6, 2019 It might even have two chairs. And some foot rests. And a dining height table or two. And lounge chairs it has private viewing for MUTs. I wonder if those booking it will like all that noise in the daytime. On the plus side they can enjoy breakfast with a show: watching other passengers scramble to save loung chairs by the pool. But with the two full bottles of booze & mixers perk, mini bar set up (Times 3 for the elites), and the sip and sail I figure it may not matter. Lol. It has two person day beds too. I wonder how they will do that: a) Just set aside some seats in an area for all performances in case someone from one of these suites shows up b) Only reserve seats when suite occupants request it c) Let the suite occupants determine where they will sit or only be able to reserve seats in a pre-determined area. AF-1 Posted March 6, 2019 #21 Share Posted March 6, 2019 (edited) caribill, Royal Caribbean has had this service for years. Suite guests have a certain area of the theater reserved for them. The concierge is in the theater and will walk you to your seat or will be waiting in the suite area to seat you. Royal Caribbean also has an area at the pool which is reserved for suite guests. I have used this service with Royal Caribbean and now that I am sailing with Princess; I am glad they have added it to the sky suite benefit. It makes the entire vacation go so much smoother. This service is similar to what NCL uses in their Haven area. I have used their service and it is very nice touch; I mean you are paying for this service; but it makes the vacation so nice. Having the concierge meet you at the dock and walk you right thru security and onto the ship is fabulous. Heck, I Have been on vacation in both the states and overseas, where I paid $400-500 a night for a hotel and that didn't include food or drink.
