Howdy, have a cruise coming up where we have the sip n sail promo, a question for ya, thanks in advance! Cheryl

1) Besides bottles of wine (25% off), drinks over $12/glass, can sodas....what else is NOT included on the package?

Pretty much everything else is included - except for larger bottles of water. (Big deal. Who cares. Small bottles of Perrier (meh) and San Pellegrino (yeah!) are included. Who cares about "bottled Fresno city water"?) I can't think of anything else that is not included. We had the package as a perk on two cruises and loved it. I thought it was freaking awesome. However, it's too damn expensive for me to actually pay for the package. I drank a lot of Talisker - double shots - straight up. Loved it. Loved the Chairman of the Board and the 24K Margarita. My wife loved the beer and trying all the margaritas. Really nice package to have. We are not at all interested in paying for the thing. As for your initial question: I answered it n the first sentence of this reply.

Edit: Sorry for sounding like a butt head. Not my intention.

Large bottles of water.   You can get unlimited small bottles though.

These are actually included in the speciality dining rooms.  At least on the Regal.

Thinking about canned sodas...can't you get canned diet sprite and root beer....because they aren't on the gun?

Yes, diet Sprite, root beer and orange soda available - they pour it in the glass for you from the can. You don't get the can.

According to the Princess info on the PBP - 1 (one) large bottle of water in specialty dining rooms.  It's kinda pointless as two to three  small bottles make up one large.  Every time we've asked for the large they just pointing out the obvious - we have unlimited small bottles, they'll bring a fresh one any time we're ready.

Just thought of this....variations depending on the dining room or other area:

Specialty dining: Large sized bottle water and maybe large sized sparkling waters

What about VINES?

Also, are there nuances....or different beers or ? available at PUB LUNCH?

This was not true from my recent experience on the Caribbean Princess in early February. We had the Sip and Sail promo. The only sugar-free soft drink from the fountain guns was diet Coke. Since my wife cannot handle caffeine, she was charged every time she ordered a diet Sprite. They told her any canned soda was not covered under the promo. In fact, she once ordered an alcoholic drink and asked for diet Sprite rather than regular Sprite in the mix and she was charged for the diet Sprite because it came out of a can. I spoke to the Beverage Manager and Hotel Manager about this and they both said it was company policy.

Are you able to obtain multiple bottled waters when going on a shore excursion?  I seem to recall that there were buckets of cold beverages as you exit the ship that were available for sale.  Would this be covered under the PBP?

This has not been our experience on Royal, Regal, Caribbean or Crown since the change to the PBP back in fall of 2017. We've had no problems at all getting a glass of the sodas that are only available in the can. Not one bartender has blinked an eye or told us they're not covered. Every single one has pointed out they can't give us the can, has to be wired to a glass.

Strange you have had different, but there you go. At least princess is still consistently inconsistent..

We usually stopped at a bar and grabbed a couple bottles of water before going down to disembark but a few times we did get them right where you disembark. It wasn't a problem. Our cards clearly showed them we had the package and the water was "free".

I will acknowledge the fact that cans of Diet Coke are not available on the PBP. So...has anyone a guess that the bartender will fill my insulated thermos bottle with my fav beverage?

If I wanted/needed Diet Coke I would just take a 12 pack or so onboard with me. There are no limits or restrictions on taking soda aboard. When I worked I was in IT and I drank Diet Mountain Dew all the time. Loved the caffeine fix. I used to carry it aboard with me when cruising. I no longer work and no longer have the need for the Dew fix so I don't take soda aboard these days. I like it much better this way. 😎

We have the premium sipnsail for our June cruise. How does it work? Is there something on your room card or do they bill you then take off the charges?

It's connected to your card. They can swipe your card or enter your number. Your info comes up on the screen. They can see how many drinks you have had. After the first day or two they knew my number and never need to see my card. A few times I asked how many drinks I had had so far and they just checked the screen and told me. Very easy and no hassle at all. I never had to sign and nothing ever showed up on my bill.

Note: Always check your folio frequently. I do it daily on Princess@Sea. Twice when I ordered a drink in Princess Theater the waiter got it from the casino bar. Both times they charged me. I just went to Passenger Services and had the charge removed. That was the only venue that screwed it up.

Same thing happened to us, I think we requested a diet Tonic and were charged because it was a can.
