I believe your figure for state room size is based upon M-class ships, not the S-class.

You are missing: better-quality bathrobes in the cabin, embarkation day lunch in the main dining room, if you arrive prior to 1:30. And perhaps most importantly for some of us, you get 5 points per night in the Captains Club loyalty program.

You also get a gold colored sea pass card 😉

I will not comment on my perceptions of the listed benefits for Concierge Class since opinions vary widely. To each his /her own.

We wouldn’t get the extra points because we would be using MoveUp. Trying to decide if I want to bid on it.

One other consideration would be to improve your chance of getting a more desirable cabin location. If you are moving up from an inside or oceanview you would have a better chance of getting a reasonable location and avoid the chance of getting an obstructed veranda. That is really the only reason I recently bid on the Concierge cabin. The other perks were not as important to us.

Hi OP,

In response to your question, I would recommend you have a look at the Celebrity site to have the most updated version of Concierge Class privileges, since, some of the information you mentioned seems to be inaccurate or missing.

We were in a Concierge Class cabin, in May 2019, on a M Class ship. Of note, on M Class ships, Concierge Class cabins are a bit larger than regular veranda cabins, while they are the same size on S Class ships.

From memory, below are perks we enjoyed as CC customers on Constellation

- Priority Boarding

- Priority choice of dining arrangement and table

- Exclusive Concierge Class Lunch on Embarkation day

- Upon request, free bottle of sparkling wine in cabin.

- Daily bites delivered in cabin in mid-afternoon

- We were invited to the helipad for a sailing away and were offered a glass if sparkling wine

- We were invited to a visit of behind the scene in the ship’s kitchens

- We were invited to a complimentary slot tournament in the casino

- Pillow menu

- In addition, you collect 5 Captain Club points per day.

The above are the perks I remembered and appreciated. Some elements may be missing while some other may vary from ship to ship or cruise to cruise. Therefore, a review of the official information, would be must.

Note, a Concierge Class cabin does not systematically have room for three people. This has to be confirmed carefully, since the number of cabins with a capacity to accept 3 or 4 people has been reduced, at least on the Millenium.

Hope this helps! Enjoy your cruise!

I’m glad you said that because I was trying to figure out if it was worth anymore to us than a Veranda because we don’t spend any time in our rooms except to sleep and clean up. However, when we have a balcony we do enjoy sitting outside.  I don’t care about the concierge service or seminar. We have the premium beverage package so I don’t care about the sparkling wine.  There is more than enough free food on the ship, I don’t need to come to our room to eat.  However, a better location would be mice. Where are they located on the Summit?

I got that from the description in MoveUp. Since it would be MoveUp, we wouldn’t get the extra points. It’s our first Celebrity cruise so those aren’t that important to us. Some of the things you mentioned would be nice though, especially priority embarkation and the pillow menu!  It would also be nice to be invited to the helipad and the behind the scenes kitchen tour. I understand those may not happen on every cruise though, especially since we only have one port, Bermuda.

Oh, and it’s only the two of us so occupancy is of no concern. I just cut and pasted what was there.

CC cabins on M class are a bit larger than regular balcony cabins.  On both S and M class they also include an umbrella and binoculars (not much better than one from a cracker jack box).

The larger cabin would be nice. It wasn’t a lot, but any extra space in those tiny cabins would be a bonus.

CC cabins vary by deck.  Deck 8 they go mid-ship and aft. Deck 7 & 9 mostly aft. There are a few sunset locations. You can check the celebrity website for exact deck plans. If going for just a veranda you run the risk of getting an obstructed verandas on deck 6 (looking over lifeboat) and some less desirable deck 10 - 2C cabins which used to be AQ cabins. In a move up you do not have a choice which cabin you get (if your bid is accepted).

May veranda bid wasn’t as strong as my other two bids. I will just have to see what happens, but am obstructed veranda is better than an OV. 😊

Unfortunately the footstools are being eliminated, at least on the M Class ships, as they are revolutionized.

Bummer. We will be on the Summit.

Also debarkation continental breakfast in a designated waiting room.

That would be nice.

Footstools have been discontinued in Concierge Class on the “revolutionized” Equinox.  Footstools are going the way of

the dodo.

But why???  😔 We had them on Carnival with a regular balcony.

Um, you are asking me for a logical reason?  I wish I knew!!  One can cynically say the reason the large tables on the verandas were replaced by tiny ones was to cut down on room service orders.  The only explanation I can give for the footstool elimination was to save money. They couldn’t keep the old ones because they didn’t match the new less comfortable chairs...

As a result there are now threads on what brand of mail order inflatable foot rests one can purchase and bring onboard. 😗

As another data point - we did not have foot stools on the Constellation April 2019 and it had not been "revolutionized" yet

Nope, just expressing my frustration!  I’m sure it was part of some cost savings on their part. All the cruise lines are doing cutbacks.

I was being ironic.  It makes no sense to me.  But if Celebrity can remove the daily bottles of water as a feature of their coincidentally named Aqua Class cabins then anything is up for grabs.

That being said, Celebrity is still my favorite line. I’m a glass half full kind of girl.

Hate to be a downer but Priority embarkation is not a big deal, only a separate line at check in, seems half the ship has this as a perk and sometimes the regular cabin lines are shorter.  Also, the visit to the helipad is not a written perk for CC, you may or may not get it.

Here's a link to the website with all the benefits.

- Priority Boarding...

On Eclipse in San Diego a few months ago, we absolutely did not get Priority Boarding. It was a drag, actually. Once checked-in, we had to take a number and wait, I'd say, at least 45 minutes longer.  😔 As a Concierge Class guest, I feel we should have been able to board immediately. No big deal, but it was something I noticed.
