WHAT CRUISE SHIPS OFFER SINGLE CABINS

RCI Quantum class also offers some.  In most cases where they are offered by a cruise line the rooms naturally are smaller and there still is a premium on the stateroom rates as a solo, but one that is significantly lower than that which is charged as a double occupancy rate for a solo passenger in a standard stateroom.

Any cabin can be a solo cabin. Sometimes the cost for an inside cabin is cheaper than the studio.

Yes, by just having one passenger book it.  But having that be less costly than a studio, or designated solo stateroom, is very rare as double occupancy staterooms typically charge double occupancy rates for a solo, regardless of category or location.  The whole point of designated solo staterooms is to have their rate be less than that of any other double occupancy stateroom when booked by a solo passenger.

I would like to know what cruise ships offer single cabins?  I heard NCL had a few - I'm looking to British Isles for 2020.  Would consider also Portugal/Spain as well.  Any comments would be appreciated.

Do your homework though.  I was very critical of folks saying that the studios are not that great of a bargain compared to some other cabins, when I sailed on the Norwegian Bliss in April.  I just booked another trip on the Bliss, when the TA gave me the quotes with airfare and shuttles included it turned out to cost me $46 more to sail solo in a GTY balcony compared to a studio.  Of course - I only selected 2 free-at-sea perks as I didn't want the drink package and don't need internet so I saved on the gratuities on the drink package.

If I wanted a sail-away rate I could have saved more on the cruise fare and then booked my own airfare.

To answer the actual question - NCL's Breakaway and Breakaway+ ships generally have studio cabins, with the exception of Joy.  As noted - RCI's Quantum-class ships have them as well (including limited studio balcony cabins), and I think I've heard that some of the Oasis-class ships have some solo/studio cabins as well.  MSC's newest ship, Bellissima, has this cabin type as well (I was looking at her for a trip as well).
