Celebrity being less expensive would be rare and not the norm. Also is that X deal a refundable deposit or NRD?

It’s for December, only 2 months out. Sounds like they have a chunk of space to get rid of and are lowering prices. MSC might have fewer cabins to sell so are offering at a higher price.

Yes he did a great job with all the perceived negatives so Im sure the X fans he brought over will be deciding against MSC,  leaving more room  on board for the Fans of MSC .

I am looking forward to reading his final summary

Are you? Really?

Okay...LOL.

Wonderman, one last question for your final review.  We're non-smokers, how would you rate the smoking policy?  Do they allow smoking in the casinos or other inside venues? Do you think non-smokers would enjoy these ships?

We've done one Celebrity cruise (one and done!) - I would totally disagree with the assessment that X's MDR offerings compares with YC food, but it's an opinion and has no more worth than any others profferred.

I've done one X cruise. 2nd one is next month. The MDR food was ok it definitely did not blow me away. The vegan dessert we're fantastic.

I'm sailing on MSC for the 1st time out of Miami on the Merg in the Yacht club. I'm excited. Though the ship is beautiful it's all centered on the inside.

Mike and I hung out at our chairs until noon  We didn’t stay much longer after swimming as the loungers were too uncomfortable to sit on for too long.

I always thought the chairs didn't come with cushions because in YT videos that I watch there missing. I'm not being sarcastic.

I thought you had to pay to extra for them 😂. Maybe that's MSC plan.

Just a heads up. While I had hoped to do some sort of final review of my cruises, and had actually made some good headway on the Bellissima portion, I just don’t have the time to continue with it due to more important priorities in my life including being deep in researching and planning my next vacation. And also based on the negativity here from certain unpleasant members I honestly can’t be bothered at this point. I think the chronicles of my voyages were extremely detailed enough for those that followed along to draw their own conclusions about whether MSC is the right cruise line for them. Thanks to those who appreciated my honest opinions about my experiences. Happy cruising!

Thank you for your review, you've provided invaluable insight into the MSC experience.   I was afraid that the negative tone from some members was bothering you.   Please remember that there are far more of us that appreciated your review than the few problem members.  At some point I hope that you can provide another review of your future travels.

Thanks again and safe travels.

Can’t begin to tell you how much I learned from your review. We are 4 days into the Med cruise on the Bellissima in a Yacht Club interior. Crossing the Med towards Barcelona on our first sea day. Our 7-day snapshot shares some experiences with yours so far. Be well!  Happy vacation planning.

I hate that negative people are getting in the way.  Get a life people - Don't like something, move on!!

I'm interested in the "deep in researching/planning my next vacation".  Let us know where/when etc...

I for one enjoy your review - Thank you!!

all those wishing us well on our 50th anniversary!  As we get older, I’m starting to think, “How much longer will I be able to cruise ANYWHERE?  We are seniors - I’m in my late 60’s and my husband early 70’s - and for the most part, in good health.  But, I don’t know how many more sailing years we have left, so there’s somewhat a desperation in our planning.....I’m trying to squeeze everything to do with traveling into the years we have left.  So there’s more of an urgency NOT to make any mistakes of choosing the right product for us.  Not everyone will relate to what I just said but they will most certainly come to that point in their lives when they might begin to understand our thinking.....

I can relate to EVERYTHING you said, though we have "only" 47 years of marriage... Same thoughts of trying to travel as long as we can.... Congrats on your "gold" wedding anniversary !!

We just celebrated our 50th on The Allure with 19 family members.  We always have another trip planned.  I am a retired Travel Consultant with 30 years experience.  I had one couple who kept taking a few big world trips each year.  He would say, this will probably be our last year to go...they are both in their mid eighties and are still traveling the World.

We have had to cancel two trips, both at the last minute.  The last one, four years ago, we were All set to go the next day...instead of cruising,  my DH was in intensive care, fighting for his life.  Thank goodness, he made it.  We have been on ten great vacations since then.  We have cruises and vacations booked up to 2021. We are waiting for the 2022 options to open up.  It’s always good to have something positive to look forward to.  One never knows what the future holds.  That’s why it’s important to go and enjoy while you can.

We also had to cancel 2 big cruises last year; last Jan for Silversea Antarctica for DH having spine surgery and Regent Greece in Sept for my redo of hip surgery. At least we got most of our money back on both. We have Antarctica on Azamara Pursuit coming Jan, Silversea crossing in Mar, HAL New England in Oct & then Silversea New Zealand for next Dec and our 55th. I have my eye on either Silversea or Azamara for Japan Apr 2021, but DH says to wait until our credit card recovers from the New Zealand one which was paid in full. I'm also a retired TA and I prefer doing my own trips--no one else to blame.
