An early good evening from the Sky Princess.  Had a wonderful day at sea that was highlighted by meeting a group of our cruising buddies in Le Mer for two rousing games of LCR.  I came close in the second game but lost on the last roll.

Right now, Holli is at hair appointment to get ready for our second and final formal night.  Hole I don’t have my tux, I will enjoy getting dressed up in my suit for one last time on the first leg of our b2b Cruises.

We will be meeting our CC friends in ATD for dinner later.  After dinner, not sure what we will do.

We got our “Passenger in Transit” letter about two hours ago.  We have to meetin a dining room at 0900 on turnaround day.  We will be escorted off the ship through customs(facial recognition software is now used).  After hopefully a short wait in the terminal, we will be allowed to re-board.  The letter we received did state that our steward would transport our hung in the closet items to our new cabin.  It also stated we had to have the items in individual drawers in our suitcases so they could also be moved to our new cabin.

That’s all for now and I’ll check in later tonight.

Hope all are well.....😊😊😊

Certain things I don't like to send out.  We've also used the Suite/Elite perk of free laundry/dry cleaning......

Bob

Tux, Dinner Jacket, Formal shirts, other shirts, pants all get sent to cleaned or laundered. But our precious underwear is done by us. Heck, the laundramat is right across the hall, LOL

Good morning (0625 local time) from the Sky Princess.  Sorry for not checking in last night as I pretty much fell asleep shortly after returning to the cabin from dinner.  No sunrise picture for this post as it is still dark outside.  Today begins our second and final sea day before ending the first leg of our cruise in Florida.  Normally, I'd be a little more melancholy since this would be the dreaded last full day onboard before the cruise ends.  But, we got another 7 nights onboard after tonight😊

I just returned to the cabin after getting my morning Americano from the International Cafe.  I also got some tip envelopes and changed some money for tipping from passenger services.

A couple of observations about the International Cafe that just came to mind I'd like to mention.  First is for lunch time.  There are no longer a choice of salads available that I've seen on prior cruises.  The next is that I've not seen the "Egg McMuffin" type sandwiches offered for breakfast.  Lastly concerns drinks served at the International Cafe.  When you order a hot drink, it now comes with a hard paper lid.  I know that Princess like other cruise lines is adapting to a more echo friendly company, but the lids are a little annoying for me as they seem to have a little bit of an after taste when consuming a hot beverage.  Definitely not a deal breaker though.

One thing that does annoy me are the paper straws that are now served with cold drinks both in the International Cafe and other bars throughout the ship.  They really bug me as on several occasions, I had to get a second straw because my first one fell apart and became unusable.

I crossed another CC bucket item off my list yesterday as I met one of the board's more well known posters for the first time.  Holli & I were sitting at our dinner table last night with our roll call friends.  There was a woman also sitting at our table who I heard someone refer to as "Pam."  Turns out it was "Pam From Ca."  I have always enjoyed reading her posts over the years and found her posts to be very informative and a wealth of knowledge.

Later on this morning, Holli and I plan to dine at Sabatini's for breakfast.  This a perk that we continue to enjoy on our cruises.  After that I will begin to pack my "drawer" items into my suitcases for our big move to our new cabin tomorrow.

Well that's all for now.

Hope all are well.....😊😊😊

Bob, thank you and Holli so much for sharing your holiday with us.  What did you think of The Lago Mar (besides the horrible fall)?  And I would also like to know if you enjoyed the sunset sail in St Thomas?  I’ll be onboard the Regal next week and considering doing it.

The Lago Mar was a great pre-cruise stay hotel.  If we return to the Caribbean, I will definitely consider them for another visit.  The sunset cruise was very nice indeed.  I took a number of pictures that I will be uploading to my Flickr page when we get home.....😊😊😊

Bob,

The little breakfast sandwiches are there at the International Cafe.  Just ask for one (or two).  They will heat them up for you.

I'm glad to hear this, the breakfast sandwiches at the International Café are my favorites warmed up.  I always like to have at least one or two during a cruise week.

Bob, glad your cruise is going smoothly and you still have another week to go. We have been following along every day.

Cheers - Ken & Darlene

Bob - It has been fun to follow along with you this last week. We board on the 8th and your information has been very helpful - thank you! Do you know what night the Rock Opera show was performed?

Mary Beth, Lynn from our roll call posted that Rock Opera will be performed the first night we board the Sky Princess on Feb. 8th. She was able to get this information on her ocean medallion app which she posted. See you onboard next week.

Cheers - Ken & Darlene

Hi Bob enjoying your posts I was on her in December.  There was salads in international cafe but served in smaller dishes check the case they should have samples.  I brought my own straws in a baggie on board already knew about the paper ones maybe you can go buy some at public grocery on turn around day it's close to the port.

Good evening from the Sky Princess.  Holli & I just returned from dinner with our friends.  We said our goodbyes to those who are ending their voyage tomorrow.  We have a little packing to do prior to retiring for the evening.

Today we just lazed around for most of the day.  I was out early taking some pictures.  As I did this, I noticed the hogs were out in force.  I saw several “reserving” their chairs for the day.  Holli had an appointment in the Lotus Spa later.  After that, as I stated earlier, we just hang out.

Tomorrow we go through the “in transit” procedures.  After that, I look forward to starting the second half.

I have really enjoyed reporting on our adventures during the first leg and very much look forward to reporting on  the second half.

We get the hour back we lost tonight so I’m hoping to get a little extra sleep.

That’s all for now.

Hope all are well.....😋😋😋

Good morning everyone from the Sky Princess.  We are docked in Ft. Lauderdale.  Holli and I are getting ready to head to the designated dining room for in transit passengers. Since I’ve never done this before, I am hoping every goes smoothly.

After we go through the process, we will re-board and check into our new cabin (R607) which is only three cabins away from our current cabin.  I am anxious to get settled in for the second leg.

That’s all for now.

Hope all are well.....😊😊😊

Congrats on your Tag purchase -  checking out the latest in watches while cruising was/is still my favorite past-time.  It's how I picked up my first Tag.  🙂 Now I just window-shop after DW got me my dream watch.

B2B's are nice - hope you are enjoying it.

Just got our Amazon order of stainless steel straws ordered specifically for our upcoming Princess cruise.  Paper straws just don't cut it.

When you boarded, did you notice if the Internet Packages were better priced when purchased on embarkation day as opposed to pre-purchasing it on the web?

Thanks.

Hello Bob,

In April we will be boarding The Sky for the transatlantic in April. What is your opinion of the Medallion. After filling out most of the information on the App I started getting paranoid about the total lack of privacy. As a Disney World magic band user, I'm not sure why this is bothering me.  I would love to hear from those of you who have used it.

Thank you, Marlise
