We had a fantastic time on our Swimming with the stingrays excursion.  We held them and kissed them for 7 years good luck.  If we French kissed them it was a lifetime of good luck....we weren’t that brave.

Kissing a female.  The males are very small in comparison.

Amazing photos!  Hope to kiss one when we are onboard Splendor!

Hi Bob.  We definitely drink sake cold.  They asked us what we were eating and paired the sake accordingly.  It was not sweet.  There are 3 choices for cold.  On our last cruise we tasted all 3.  Each was delicious.  I will try and find out the names next time we go.

Thank you!  Your food pics have me daydreaming about my next visit to Pacific Rim, now I have something else to look forward to there.😋

Can you offer any suggestions for sake?  We are interested in trying, but know nothing about it.  Do you think that hot or cold is better?  We don't think we would like anything too sweet.

Bob

I worked in Japan a while, most people drink it warm (never hot).  However when ever serviced a very good high end Sake, it's always service cold.

Dinner in Compass Rose was delicious.  We had Manu as our waiter for the second time.  He is fantastic.

Chicken and goose liver parfait...sounds gross but it was excellent.

This morning we had a cooking class with Chef Noelle...New World Mediterranean.  We were greeted with a cocktail...Roasted Pineapple Sparkler in shot glasses.  Vodka is the alcohol used.  I wasn’t wowed by it.  Seems time consuming to make.

Next up was Allspice Turkey Meatballs with Succotash.  The meatballs were already prepared.  We made The Succotash.  Chef gave good, clear instructions.  The Succotash was good.  I wasn’t a fan of the meatball.  I don’t like spice or garlic and for me it was heavy in both.

After uploading for 1 hour my meatball pic failed.

I will try and load other 2 items later.

That is what she does - has things already done and just explains them.  For me that is not a cooking class.

I agree. We have booked two cooking classes on our Splendor cruise and I would be disappointed if some of the major components of the dish were already made.

So enjoying your posts and food photos. That soufflé looks devine. I’ve never seen that on the CR menu before,  is this a new choice for Splendour?
Glad you are having a wonderful cruise, we board in New York in April, it gets more exciting with all the live blogs from the maiden voyage with Mr Rumour, and now yours too. Thanks so much, Jean.

We had dinner in Compass Rose.  I’m going to make you all jealous and tell you we had the infamous Panko Crusted Shrimp.  Unbelievably this was the first time we ordered it.  It was delicious.  Thanks Zqueeze1 for the suggestion.  I also had lobster tail and a half order of Risotto Primavera.  Both were lip smacking good.

Thank you for the pic. We are boarding the Explorer on Monday and will be on the lookout for one of my favorites. I may have to order it as an entree rather than as an app.

Tonight we had dinner in Chartreuse.   Service was very good. Some of the dishes we chose were not my favorites. I ordered an artichoke tart to start.   When our waiter brought it out he told me if I did not like it to order something else. He said most people didn’t like it.   I wish he would’ve said something before. I didn’t care for it and ordered the beet salad instead.  It was very good.

Chicken in a Morel Cream Sauce.  Jim loved it!
