Looks like Wonder is going straight to China and starts in March.

Short cruises from Hong Kong and Shanghai.

 

Its open for bookings,I don’t think I will be going.

 

 If it sails from Singapore I would be interested.

Not interested in visiting China. I am assuming they would use a different swab.

Here’s some information about Wonder.

Its disappointing we won’t be seeing it in Australia in the short term.

 

BUT looking at the venues it doesn’t look very Asianised.

It does have a couple of things like the duty free chemist which is definitely for the Chinese market.
Plus windjammers has a Asian HotPot which would be popular in Singapore and Australia.

But the rest are definitely for the western market.
Johnny Rocket (which was a disaster in China)

El Loco fresh  ,a Mexican which I doubt will be popular ,Playmakers ,sorento pizza and Giovanni’s . All very americanised.

Your probably right about throwing money into a deep hole because that’s the cruise industry at the moment.

Wonder of the seas is just about finished.

Its in dry dock to antifoul  the hull and sea trials start next month.

Its scheduled to start in China in March 2022.

The key’s should be handed over to Royal Caribbean between November to December.

So that leaves a 3 month vacancy.

Im thinking it will go to Singapore for a short run .

Someone on another forum thinks it maybe offered to frontline Covid workers like spectrum was.

I have no problems with female Captains on RCI or any other cruise line.  Bug will like the new ship.lol.

Don't think Wonder of the Seas will ever be in Australia, well perhaps in 2040 when she is getting a bit ancient for the Americans, lol.

Well it’s Royal Caribbean’s $US 1.5 billion flagship and if it has a female captain. I don’t think she would be a plain Jane.

She will have all the right credentials uncle Les.

What is Bug eating? Looks like liver with fava beans and a nice Chianti.

 

Anyway, with Barnaby back in charge, we won’t be seeing Bug anywhere near our shores.
