Absolutely sick of the sight of rain down here in soggy Kent, almost non stop for 3 days!! 😱

 

Hope Zapp and Jean have good holidays and Avril is enjoying her bathroom.

 

Good to see the huge queues of young people getting vaccines, we’re getting there! This time next year I should be on Britannia, had a little look at the schedule and saw I should be in Barcelona today - just a balmy 28 degrees there at the moment!

We’re sitting in rainy Southampton waiting for our ferry but have just been to see Britannia 😊 too wet to get my big camera out though

I have just got back from my annual visit to the optician and I am now looking for a mortgage to pay for my new glasses.  I actually quite enjoy going because it gives me a chance to catch up with one of my school friends though she told me today that she is thinking of retiring.  The receptionist told us that she could hear us laughing while I was being tested which is unusual because most people are very quiet.

Ha 😆 I was so fed up of the rain and realised we should be on our cruise and amused myself for a few minutes to look up the itinerary and then look up the weather!

I did once take my prescription into Asda but because I have some problems with my eyes that requires specialised lenses they could not fill the prescription.  I prefer to stick with the practice that I have gone to since I was 5 years old because they have over 60 years worth data relating to my eye history.  It takes  up to 3 weeks to get new glasses because of the lenses I have to have.  I am considered to be at a high risk of going blind because my mum had the same problem as I have and was blind when she was younger than I am now so I prefer to go to an optometrist who is familiar with my problems.

Hi everyone, seems an age since I posted on CC but it has just been so manic at work that I've hardly had the chance to catch breath. Also been away for the weekend --- had a wonderful stay at our caravan and didn't want to come home.

Thank you so much for this photo - just hope that they are waiting to set sail .. who knows at the minute?

Have to say we are also keeping an eye on the Celebrity side of CC as their new ship APEX has set sail on her maiden cruise. She looks amazing so IONA has something to live up to 😉

We are sailing from Liverpool on MSC Virtuosa on 24th June and have used Yourparkingspace.co.uk to get 6 days parking for £38 at the Hampton by Hilton which is handy for the Liverpool Arena which is where most check ins are taking place this year. Not sure if you’ve been advised but all checkins for FO will also be at the Arena

Good morning hope everyone's feeling Ok. I hope the weather picks up again 
especially for you who are away at the moment and people like me who can sit 
in the  garden again if the weathers nice . At least we can watch the football until 
the weather picks up . I read in the papers that Scotland's Billy Gilmour had tested 
positive for Covid. Anyone that’s been within 2 metres of him will have to self 
isolate. So the England  team apart from two players , needn’t worry about it . 
I phoned my Granddaughter up to see how things are going .We worry so much about 
them when we don't get to see them ,don't we ? She told me not to worry and she's
 being sensible and safe, so much so, she has even made her pet duck named  Donny  
a mask and she went onto say  "it's not much to look at really but it fits the bill "
The postman has just been and I got a package in the post  and on it said....
 ‘Please don’t bend.’ So how was I supposed to pick it up?😕 Well the weathers being 

kind here at the moment and the sun is out. I hope you all have a bright and happy day
