Every other day but that does not mean that I cannot get the virus and transmit it to others they come in contact with at their hotels or other places they go to.

Are you suggesting they wear masks while playing?

With all due respect, this is like saying not pouring gasoline on a blazing fire only slows the fire.  The US is on fire and it needs to be put out.......

Great post. I also agree with what you've said. Here in PA there is a significant movement against our Democratic governor, who is being accused of abusing power, not being "transparent" with regards to how businesses were shut down back in March and now he's really under fire for establishing increased restrictions on restaurants and businesses that only just opened under the "green" phase a few weeks ago. While both sides of the debate here have their points, I side with the governor who is trying to do what he feels is right for the welfare of PA. This having turned the virus, masking, etc. into a political football is ridiculous. If someone is compromised by respiratory issues and cannot wear one for long periods of time or even at all, that's certainly understandable, but this idea of it being peoples' rights not to wear one simply cause they don't want to is a different matter. Whatever happened to sacrificing for the common good? Look how people had to sacrifice - and I mean REALLY sacrifice - during WWII with rationing, etc. but I guess that's all part of why it is often called the "greatest generation". I would have hoped the US would band together and rally around the cause of curbing the virus. But, instead, no, it's this crap about asserting rights not to follow the guidelines - largely a politically driven issue. Wearing a mask for an hour or two while you're at a store does not qualify as a significant hardship in my book. I feel for health care workers and other employees, however, who work all day and must have a mask on the entire time.

Clint Frazier of the Yankees wore a mask in Saturday’s game.Other MLB players have said they plan to wear masks once the season starts on Thursday.

I haven't seen a game yet, but I'm one who thinks it's not necessary to wear a mask outdoors, (and I fully support wearing them indoors or in a crowd.) I can see why they are probably necessary in the dugout when the players are together, but I don't see the need on the field.

Many of the coaches wore masks on the field. One of the Mets players was on camera spitting. Many shook hands in the dugouts and others were sitting in the dugouts without masks right next to others .

Guess we'll all see in a few days what the players do during a real game.

Yes,would you believe that many years ago I went with two friends to see the Mets play the Reds and drove home the same night ?

I hope you all took turns driving.  I drove from NYC  to Cincinnati by myself in one day and it was rough.

I don’t get the mask resistance.  They keep saying they have rights, so does that mean there should be no consequences if you run a red light or stop sign.  Is it your right to do whatever you feel like doing?  Yes, we are a free country but without laws and restrictions where would we be?

Selfish people who think they only have rights -  not others.  Some people seem to have nothing to do but protest.

Mask resistance is a real issue for SOME people i.e. people with respiratory problems whose O2 sats might drop or claustrophobic.  Otherwise, I see  mask wearing as an act of love for neighbor.

I admit, when I am exercising, it is not easy but necessary.

Nothing more precious or important then human lives.  My son, who is a physician and prior to the pandemic, visted nursing home patients.  Of his 36 patients, only 6 are still alive.  The others died due to Covid

Please wear masks and follow the protocols established by our scientists and specialist likre Dr fauci

Best to wear. Not for you but for others.  You might carry the disease.  Dr fauci was over 6 feet away from the players.

Like I said I will follow Dr. Fauci's lead.  By the way he was sitting next to a gentleman who I don't believe lives in his home.

Thank you for sharing this advice Cruise a holic!

As an RN, I mask up if i go out - certainly wear them in offices/stores. I have cotton masks that are washable and ironable for grocery shopping and N 95 masks for public transportation (ie planes).

It is a kindness to others and keeps me safe when someone nearby starts to hack or sneeze or cough.

Dr Fauci is one of my heroes. He really is patient with people yet so direct in his advice!

So what?  You base your actions on those of others?  If people drive through a school zone faster than the speed limit just because the area isn't patrolled, does that mean you do it also?

Several people on here have said to "follow Dr. Fauci, Dr. Fauci is their hero"  I am not sure why Dr. Fauci's actions would not be acceptable to follow.

Something interesting .I was at the office of 4 doctors this week.At the first office my temperature was taken .I was given a Covid form to fill out.Everyone working there was wearing a mask.My doctor wore gloves .

Doctor number two ,no temperature taken,no Covid questionnaire.

Yesterdays doctor, temperature taken,no questionnaire. My doctor used Purell and then put on gloves.

Today’s doctor, temperature taken,Covid questionnaire.I wore gloves to all visits.Today I was told to remove the gloves and they sprayed my hands ,front and back with a Purell type product. The doctors wore masks and shields.

All 4 were better than my experience 3 weeks ago .I wonder if there are county guidelines that doctors are supposed to follow.

I have niece who is an MD in Westchester County .I have to ask her.

Ok.  I just have to ask.  Since the purpose of wearing a mask is to protect others on the off chance a person is asymptomatic why would she need to wear one in a car if she and you are the only passengers?  Maybe the other activities if you live in a crowded area but here I can take the garbage out and get the mail without seeing another person.

Wow...that is commitment. I don't wear a mask in the car - don't really see any point to that, nor if I'm out mowing my lawn or working around the house (no neighbors where we live so really, again, no point).
