We have no room in the driveway. We have 6 motorcycles in the garage and barely enough driveway for two cars. However, you are welcome to stop by for some BBQ. While the Firebird on the show was portrayed as a low-level, bargain-priced Esprit model since he was a struggling PI, it was in fact a high performance Firebird Formula - which was basically a Trans-Am without the Trans-Am look. That's what was needed to perform the stunts. Fun Fact #2. Even though he couldn't afford the higher-priced trims, he always had the latest model car starting with 1974 up to 1979. James Garner didn't like the looks of the 1979 and later models so they stuck with the 1978 model for the duration of the show. HBE4 Posted March 23, 2021 #11223 Share Posted March 23, 2021 I watched a special on Betty White recently. Her career began on an "experimental" TV show in 1939. Maybe nobody had a TV to watch it but the show was being broadcast.
