That's a good one.

I just read an article that Below Deck season 9 is ready to start filming. Capt Lee will not be on board. The new Capt  looks like there will be no messing around, but who knows with the crews they hire.

Ah, I will miss Captain Lee.

Just finished watching monday nights below deck med.

Lexi is such a snot, time for that brat to go home.  I hope her Mom watches the show and gives her grief for behaving like this.

Great news. I had not heard that. I wonder if the cruise lines did some back room deal with the Bahamas to get around the Florida ban on vaccine requirements.🤔

That was my first thought too!

Plus lot less kids will be traveling in September with schools reopening.

Oh, and crazy chef Rachel is also back. I hope she did some self-editing after seeing how she behaved the first time around.

Continue with day 3 of the Disney trip report:

Trying to squeeze in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride before the fireworks:

Pirates over at Disneyland is much more elaborate than its counterpart in WDW as it has the Bayou pre ride scene and the Blue Bayou restaurant to the right at the beginning of the ride is a nice backdrop (like the ride in Mexico pavilion in EPCOT where the ride goes past a restaurant). Don’t be surprised if you get a little wet from the Disneyland version.

OK. Time to get back to Main Street for the big event – 9 PM Fireworks.  As one can see from the pictures, the place is now lined up with a lot more people than before.

Say hi to my 10,000+ new BFFs in front/behind me…

For the firework show, they combine firework with projections onto the sides of the buildings and Disney music.  The trifecta works really well together and on top of that, you have many people cheering and dancing with the music makes for a very festive environment.

I do want to point out a cultural difference in that in America, the CM makes everyone stand up to watch the fireworks.  No one is allowed to sit on the sidewalks along Main Street to watch.  Whereas in Japan Disneyland everyone is told to sit down as not to block the view of people behind you.

After fireworks, many people head for the exits.  Even though for that night, Disneyland opened until 10 PM, many people head for the exit after the fireworks – including us as we need to go back to hotel & shower and be up crazy early for another day to fight for a virtual queue.

Per my phone app, we walked 10 miles that day.  My feet/legs were killing me.  Sooner or later I won’t be able to do this as I get older and Cheapo Dad upgrades to Cheapo Grandpa but for now, we keep plugging along.  Onward to day 4…

Day 4 - Woke up at 6 something to open the Disney app to see this Covid warning.  Guess the Disney lawyers felt compelled to put this out there to stem potential lawsuits from my 10,000+ BFF’s last night…

Final Countdown.  Be sure to get a watch (or change watch face) that has the seconds timer so you can refresh the screen at 7:00:00.

Whew, got group 37. Time to wake up the rest of the clan and grab some breakfast downstairs at the lobby area.

Similar breakfast as previous days so not much new to talk about. But my older son got the Tostada shell and made his own Tostada breakfast.

We were still at the hotel at 9 AM as we were still tired from the 10 mile trek yesterday and getting stuff ready for CA Adventure at the hotel when I got the message that our group 37 has been called for Spiderman and we had one hours to get in line.

Ooops. Gotta to go!  Move it, Move it (Finally able to sneak in one RCI cruise reference but there’ll be more on day 5) …

Disneyland had Blue lockers while CA Adventure has red ones. Dropped off lunch and stuff and headed for Spiderman.

The people that created the wrapped around lines at Disney eons ago were EVIL such that they fool you every time into thinking you are almost there, but you are not even close.  This is more or less the beginning the line where you start at the guy with the red baseball cap on the right and you end at the far left by the gal against the wall to go into the building for the pre ride sequence.

So you figure this is not too bad with maybe less than 150 people ahead of you. NOPE. You see the guy in the black on the far back wall to the right (underneath the red/gray metal panel)? The REAL line starts there as you approach that spot…

Whoa, Nellie.  After you make the turn, you are greeted by this.  SUCKERS. You thought you only had 150 people in front of you?  Think again.  Not seeing too many happy faces…

Below deck is on 5 times a week on our TV in England.

Captain Sandy was standing watching chef Kiko a lot and criticised him and had the guy crying and sacked him.

Captain Sandy seems to want to be the star of the show.

Oh poor Kiko. Hannah threw him under the bus with the Vegas theme. He had a good heart.

Yup Capt Sandy has earned her name Capt Hovercraft.

Oh no, is she the one that microwaved filet mignon and served gross looking nachos?

No, that was Natasha on Sailing Yacht.... I think. Rachel is actually a very good chef with a very screwed up head that is made worse with alcohol.

He comes back. They don't really say how many episodes he will be gone but he does come back. Here is the trailer.

Looks good.  I had Rachel missed up with one of the other Chefs.    Rachel does have a filthy mouth and is quite a character.  Let's hope she doesnt get too drunk again!

Will love seeing St Kitts🧜‍♀️

I felt so bad for Chef Kiko.  I'm sure he is an amazing Chef just didnt do well that season in that environment.

Nailed it. I couldn't agree more. She does some fantastic food but has a nasty temper.
