Same here and so far Linda is fine. Seems like you may be 1 or two days ahead of me. I’ll be anxious to hear when you test negative.

Since I felt so good this morning, I did a couple of loads of laundry and a bunch of ironing.  I guess I overdid it because I spent the afternoon resting and dozing on the couch.  I have a bad habit of doing this whenever I’m under the weather.  Feeling better now but I think it’ll be takeout for dinner.

So sorry for your eye pain...  I hope you feel better soon.

Also sorry for bringing Covid discussion into this thread @dani negreanu and others.  It was my response to @Sea Dog that precipitated it. It was inadvertent and done without malice but inappropriate. I'd delete it if I could. Sorry.

No problems from me!

@BonTexasNYI hope your eye stops hurting🤞🙏

My daughter spent her anniversary looking at wedding pictures, don’t know if that was a good idea or not.  Once we get through the holidays all the firsts will be over so maybe things will get a little better.

Hugs to you and your daughter and grandchildren as they continue to grieve

Yesterday, my kiddos plan was to hike Australia’s highest mountain,  Mt Kosciusko at 2228 metres.

There are 3 ways to hike to the Summit.  The most popular is to catch the Chairlift from Thredbo  then hike the rest of the way - 13kms in approx 4-5hrs.

The most scenic is to hike from Charlotte Pass.  18.6kms and 6-8hrs.

They chose the scenic route and again due to the recent heavy snowfall they needed to check in with the Tourist Info centre to make sure they were able to hike to the summit in the conditions.  They were told the weather would be ideal for them but due to the heavy snow cover, they would need to hire snow shoes and ski poles.

From Rawsons Pass, it is usually a slow circular climb in the spring/summer months but given the heavy snow, they were advised to walk up vertically straight up to the summit across the snow.

The kiddos plan was to leave our cottage around 6am.  As I wasn’t joining them, I wished them well the night before.  I woke before them both though and decided to go for a very early walk around the property to see the sunrise and kangaroos etc.

As the kiddos were getting ready, DD looked out the glass doors and said to DS “who is that weird woman out walking by herself”- in the distance…”OMG it’s mum!”

😂😂😂

In October when I had covid, 3 days after I tested positive I tested and had a very very faint positive line that took awhile to appear.    I didn't bother to test after that so I cannot say exactly how many days but I am going to assume I was negative within 4 or 5 days.

One of the girls at work that had covid same time as me said she was negative in 10 days another one said she was negative in 4 days.    It really varies.

Debbie, I tried to talk Charlie I to your December cruise.  With a balcony guarantee I got a dirt cheap price.  Alas, he does not care for that itinerary 😢

DARN IT!   😪   I, too, am tiring of the itinerary but will be happy to be back on Anthem and back in the warm sun.

Thanjs for that info. I’m hoping it will be 4-5 days. We are supposed to get together with friends on Saturday. I don’t think that’s going to happen now. If I got it on Saturday today is only day 5 but I don’t think I started feeling symptoms until Monday. I’m feeling better but still real tired. I’ve slep most of the day.

This is exactly what happened to me when I recently had covid.   I would wake up feeling better and one day started to give the bathroom a deep clean and doing laundry of area rugs, etc. then took a long afternoon nap.     Repeat Next day I wake up feeling better and decided to clean out master closet and bedroom drawers for donation, Nope did not finish had to nap and still haven't got back to that project

The fatigue took about 2 weeks +/- for me to start to feel "normal" again.   I still have a lingering cough.    Everyone in the office has the lingering cough - we all seem to cough at the same time every day too, it's wierd.

Saturday may be pushing it as you probably will not be up to entertaining for a couple of hours.    This non-Doctor recommends postponing the gathering

I think CDC rule is to quarantine for 5 days - a min. of 5 days must have passed since the start of symptoms (something like that).   I tested positive on a Friday morning after a really bad Thursday night (but had tested negative on Thursday). So I satisfied my 5 days on Tuesday and went back to work on Wednesday.

That was a rough day in the office for 8 hours - I was exhausted that night.    I think I should have stayed home at least one more day or maybe worked 1/2 day instead of a full day.

Sorry i am writing about covid (I hope this is okay to talk about my symptoms and my experience)

+ 1 , shorts and snow, shorts and snow.... what I'm missing? ☹️

Beautiful weather.  Wind only on the very final climb to the summit.  They didn’t regret wearing shorts because they were constantly moving but fingerless gloves would have been handy.  Oh, and DS should have applied more sunscreen on the back of his legs….

Hi Carol, GST is Goods & Services Tax.  We pay 10% on goods and services bought/supplied in Australia (with some exemptions).
Prices on his website are in AUD and include GST.

He has a physical gallery in Cooma (45 mins from Jindabyne) and he specialises in photos of the Snowy Mountains region.  His online shop photos are of birds, dingoes, horses, eagles & raptors, monotremes (such as Echidnas), Kangaroos & Wallabies, Night time creatures such as possums and sugar gliders, landscapes and of course wombats.  There is a range of wombat in the snow photos.  Ours is Guthega Wombat 2.

Its says on his website to make an email enquiry for overseas purchases.

The tourist place had a beautiful coffee table book.  I almost bought it.  Only realised when I was looking at his online site just now that it contains his photos…

Good luck with the sale & the move and hopefully having a Wombat in the snow photo on your wall in the future.

Thank you so much! When you google something, and then think it is the right answer. 🥺 I've never seen a website that quotes things in GST before. ☺️ Thank you for the explanation and correction. I will definitely contact him when we are ready to shop. And I also appreciate the name of your Wombat print, (I've made a note of it) because I prefer yours to the one shown. And we would just have it framed over here. That is very helpful.
