I think if things are opening up this month like resturants and casinos ect.  they should have been able to start at the end of june or july a few limited cruises.   The cruise industry has been unfairly villinized.

right i agree it now looks like they wont , but what i am saying is , if other things are opening now it is unfair to tell cruises they cant restart slowly  in 2 months .

Seaman, are you moving backwards again. I thought you were up to cruises restarting in August, now we are back to June or July? In one post you say cruises should be able to start in June or July and and in another you agree that the CDC order appears to be stopping cruises until it expires at the end of July....

im saying they should be able  to not that they will. it seems that not happening now due to the cdc sticking with the no sail order.  August is the date that looks good as of now. (carnival at least)

why is so hard for ppl?  constantly misinterpreting what someone is saying.

Define 'should'

We do not know their plan

We do not know what it will take to get their plan implemented

We do not know their crew situation

We do not know what ports will allow ships

We do not know a lot of things

How can anyone say that they 'should' be able to open in any month? Its totally a guess and we are not privy to the details to know if they should be able to open

The official word is that NCL has frozen all of the cruises in question while they determine the need to suspend/cancel additional sailings.  Good idea.  It will keep anyone else from booking a cruise and in the event of a cancellation having to get in the refund line.

Me too....I am really considering the 125% and booking one of the cruises for next year...I know that is still not a 100% guarantee that things will go as planned...but it's sure enticing to get the 20% off and the 125% value...Hmm!

Last week we booked two 2022 cruises with the 20% discount and used our oldest CNs as deposits. We will decide in a few months' time which cruises to apply our multiple FCCs and FCDs to. We had one Feb 2020 cruise shortened, two Jan-Feb 2021 Asian cruises auto-cancelled, and one June 2020 canned.

Yes, I am going to decide between the Breakaway Eastern Caribbean and do a Haven cabin or do the Bliss to Alaska and do either Mini Suite or Haven (Haven pricey on this one!) for 2021 later in summer...They both look great and the 20 pct off and 125% should help a bit...

Totally expected our cruise in July to be cancelled and have been patiently waiting.  Noticed today that you cannot book any cruises for July but NCL hasn't cancelled July cruises yet.  Anyone have the scoop?

Should be announced on Wednesday

🥰 Gotta love discounts!

This is my first cancellation.  I was able to cruise in February and have two more cruises booked this year (both in December).  We'll see how it goes.  There's a 10-day Mediterranean cruise in 2022 that has caught my eye.  Thinking about booking that one.
