If the tests sailing with employees only go well in November, I look for 3 night cruises to Coco Cay until early 2021. Ship will sail on a Friday come back Monday. Sail again on Tuesday after a deep clean. Good chance of an overnight stay on the island, especially if they can get Casino clearance. Possibly 4 nights run to Labadee as well, similar format.

They can't get enough crew into the US in November, 14 day quarantine, and ship ready for test sailings. I expect test sailings to start mid-December at the earliest.

I have 3 cruises scheduled in 2021

May 2021 - Alaska

Aug 2021 - TA

Oct 2021 - TA

Based on your assumptions, I strike out in 2021 (0-3).  😞

I think TA's are ruled out for at least most of 2021 because people won't be able to move between continents without isolation for a couple of weeks.  This may change later in the year if a vaccine is available and vaccination is a requirement for the passengers and the crew.  Panama Canal trips later in the year may also become available with a vaccine as a requirement.

Doubt it. The distance from Labadee to Cozumel is a good 1,000 nautical miles which would require two sea days. I don’t think that a 7 night itinerary that includes Coco Cay, Labadee and Cozumel would be feasible. It seems like you’d need at least 8 nights to cover that much distance and these 3 ports.

We were rerouted last September and sailed Labadee to Cozumel with just the one day at sea.

Itinerary was Miami - At Sea - Labadee - At Sea - Cozumel - At Sea - Coco Cay - Miami on Symphony

Do you remember what you departure time from Labadee was and what your arrival time in Cozumel was? The ship would’ve had to sail at 21 knots for 45+ hours in order to cover that distance. An early departure from Labadee on day 1 and a late arrival in Cozumel on day 3 would technically be possible.

Has anyone seen a current list of what Ports of Call will allow cruise ships?

Supposedly Costa Maya and Cozumel are ready, from an article I read shared here on CC.  After that, who knows.

Norwegian does year round 7 days sailings from Hawaii.

That ship has a special exemption from the Jones Act/PVSA.

That ship is much more important to Hawaii than a twice a year TP.

Plus, Hawaii gets lots of people doing land trips.

Alaska would be much more affected if no cruising.

Alaska has oil , sea food , forestry and mining as their major industry . Hawaii needs to open up for tourist dollar :classic_rolleyes:
