Lets figure what ships and when....

Again just pure speculation, but lets get some ideas of what ships, where, when and how long....

A couple guesses

-Obviously Navi and Mariner are 1st with 3 and 4 day Coco Cay on the 3 day and maybe Labadee on the 4 day?  ASAP when ever that is

-Symphony, Oasis, Harmony and Allure doing alternating Saturday and Sunday to Coco cay, Labadee and either Cozumel or Costa Maya(FL, CC, At sea, Labadee, at sea, Cozumel or Costa Maya, at sea, FL) Can they get from Labadee to MX with just 1 sea day?  1st part of FEB

-My big guess-Quantum 3/4 day to Mex (3 day-LA, Ensenada, LA,- 4 Day-LA, Ensenada, San Diego or Catalina, LA) March (getting ready for Alaska)

-My second Big Guess-Ovation 7 Day LA, Cabo 2 days, SD or Catalina, LA  March (getting ready for Alaska)

I know I'm dreaming, but......

You think alaska and west coast more likely than Galveston?  Really? And we dont have any cruises after February going to private islands, so sending florida ships to cozumel when they can reach other ports, again cutting Galveston off if they limit ships into ports.

I think we only have adventure and liberty after feb. Adventure doing short 4/5 days to cozumel and maybe one more port like costa maya or progresso.

I didn't say these were all my guesses, just a couple.  After short cruises prove themselves my guess is a lot of drive to ports will have ships.  Galveston, Tampa, New Orleans, Bayonne, Seattle.

Mexico may be the only other ports open, thats why I'm guessing Cozumel and Costa Maya

If the tests sailing with employees only go well in November, I look for 3 night cruises to Coco Cay until early 2021. Ship will sail on a Friday come back Monday. Sail again on Tuesday after a deep clean. Good chance of an overnight stay on the island, especially if they can get Casino clearance. Possibly 4 nights run to Labadee as well, similar format.

Has it been announced that the test sailings will happen in November?

No, lots has to be done first, months worth. Theres probably a good reason people cant sign into their January cruises. We have no idea when, could take I'm guessing 3 months.

That is what I am thinking as well.  I suspect the test cruises will start in January at earliest.

I highly doubt that any ship not currently positioned in the Caribbean will relocate from other parts of the world until the cruise lines have sufficient successful cruises under their belts. Given the CDC requirements for certification, ships not currently under their jurisdiction will have a tough time (certification clock doesn’t start until they are in U.S. waters) getting back into revenue-producing compliance.

So you're saying they will sail the ships w/o passengers from Asia/Australia to do the Alasaka itinerary? And what about the longer than 7 nt Itineraries?

The current CDC regulations prohibit any cruise longer than 7 nights sailing from the US and ending in the US.  This would include any TA or TP that ends in the US.

Probably poor planning that the next post was "Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead"

As Ken said no 7 night sailings, and on top of that Canadian ports are still shut to cruise ships. What happens in the States as well as Canada will determine if and when it opens

In regards to TP Hawaii cannot survive without tourist dollar 🤔

Norwegian does year round 7 days sailings from Hawaii.

That ship has a special exemption from the Jones Act/PVSA.

That ship is much more important to Hawaii than a twice a year TP.

Plus, Hawaii gets lots of people doing land trips.

Alaska would be much more affected if no cruising.

Can they get from Labadee to MX with just 1 sea day?

Doubt it. The distance from Labadee to Cozumel is a good 1,000 nautical miles which would require two sea days. I don’t think that a 7 night itinerary that includes Coco Cay, Labadee and Cozumel would be feasible. It seems like you’d need at least 8 nights to cover that much distance and these 3 ports.

I have 3 cruises scheduled in 2021

May 2021 - Alaska

Aug 2021 - TA

Oct 2021 - TA

Based on your assumptions, I strike out in 2021 (0-3).  😞
