Rare twangster Posted December 4, 2020 #7 Share Posted December 4, 2020 Makes me nervous. They can't keep "printing money" in this fashion.
bigrednole Posted December 4, 2020 #8 Share Posted December 4, 2020 The only reason prices for the cruise line stocks are due to Robinhooders. Don't get me wrong, long term these are at good prices. You have to wait about 5 years from when cruising starts though. RCL stock is not worth it, even at $80. You are looking at a 50% return in 4-5 years at that price. NCLH and CCL offer a 100% return in the same time frame at today's prices. I made good money on RCL (~125%), but I am making a killing on CCL and NCLH (300-400% playing the buy low/sell high game).

Yup, CCL is a better bet right now 🙂

Hopefully this will help the cruise lines survive this crisis.

grandgeezer Posted December 4, 2020 #14 Share Posted December 4, 2020 I thought they had enough cash until fall, at the least. Makes you wonder.....
Baron Barracuda Posted December 4, 2020 #15 Share Posted December 4, 2020 They may have enough cash until next fall but last two quarters losses wiped out 25% of their equity. 4q '20 and 1q '21 will be equally bloody. With stock above $80 this is a good time to improve their capital ratios and avoid violating debt covenants.
