Great posts and memories from Spins. Much appreciated. Have a few items and visuals to help keep those wonderful past Silversea experiences alive and well. Will share more now and later!! THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio From our first adventure with Silversea in July 2010, here are three small samples for the fun and excitement. As always, the staff are a major PLUS that makes each trip very special and memorable. First are some treats from the Afternoon Tea. Second, were some of the Butlers as we sailed up the major fjords of Norway. Finally, a lunch sampling in the main dining room with live music being played during a spectacular buffet offering!: (Open your screen/viewer wider to see these visuals larger/better!) Appreciate the kind encouragement from brimary. YES, the many memories are very happy. Below are a few visuals from 2015 when on the Silver Cloud and sailing a 1000 miles up (and back) on the amazing Amazon River. Really enjoyed the various presentations, music, programs, etc. Sorry, too young to remember any type of "Blue Box". Only recall the "Silver Boxes". Keep up the great sharing!! THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio Amazon River-Caribbean 2015 adventure live/blog starting in Barbados. Sodashire Posted February 11, 2021 #13 Share Posted February 11, 2021 Spinnaker. Same as the silver boxes the document folder. Age either from Wind in 1995 or Cloud in 1996, I cannot remember which. Now Inkeep various size batteries in it. In those days the document folder was made from high class leather. in Terry’s photo of high tea you can see Jorge in it. Such a pity he left the company.

He planned on returning to Silversea, but it did not work out to Jorge's disappointment. He now runs the main dining room on one of Regent's ships - their gain, Silversea's loss. AGREE 100% that it was a total joy seeing and working with Jorge during our 15-day cruise to the top of Europe and along the western Norway coast in July 2010. Jorge was so totally smooth, efficient, warm, helpful, etc., etc. Always a great memory for names and faces. Sorry that things did not work out for him to be back with Silversea. Maybe in the future? Below are a couple of pictures of Jorge to bring back to those wonderful memories and celebrate the excellence of the Silversea staff. THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio Norway Coast/Fjords/Arctic Circle cruise from Copenhagen, July 2010, to the top of Europe. Scenic visuals with key tips. Live/blog at 241,350 views. www.boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1227923 From the Silver Cloud 2010, here are two visuals involving Jorge. First is with with this excellent dining room manager and the ship's Executive Chef as we sailed up a very narrow and scenic fjord i Norway. Second is Jorge with Cruise Director Jimmy Kovel during a special buffet luncheon set up in the galley.: (Open your screen/viewer wider to see these visuals larger/better!) jollyjones Posted February 13, 2021 #23 Share Posted February 13, 2021 Many of these points earned in trivia with Spins over numerous cruises, so many many good memories. Not really boasting (well, yes, I guess I am a bit) but I just wish I had the chance to cash it in. Oh, to be at the desk surveying the (previously scorned) prizes! Hubris to the max.

Rare spinnaker2 Posted February 13, 2021 Author #25 Share Posted February 13, 2021 Then there are these keys, an incomplete collection and more ephemera. At times in the more recent past, we had to turn them in at the end of the cruise. Were they recycled or could they be used twice or was Silversea ensuring we were all truly off the ship? Oh but for the chance to try them now.
