I've become convinced the cruise bloggers read cc. No sooner is there a thread asking about something than you see some blogger asking the same thing. It's happened too many times to be chance, it's time after time, they copy threads on here. I quit reading them it's so copycat.

I posted we had only had 1 lady cabin steward in 50 cruises.

Our next 4 cruises on different lines we had a lady cabin steward.

I suggested on several threads to increase the free drinks and to be able to use them any time of day in exchange for no DL access during cocktail hour to ease overcrowding and this looks a possibility now.

Other things have happened which have been suggested on here including people saying benefits can be removed at any time.

Absolutely, that's why I mentioned the impact on us earlier.

 

However, I can accept some temporary changes to get back to cruising. Call me naive, but I see somevmeritvtobthe previously posted explanations.  And I for one willingly accept the tradeoff that provides me with 6 free vouchers. Anything, anytime.

FWIW, I've chatted with senior mgmt, both shoreside and shipboard. They say FB and Twitter are the things they watch. This is small potatoes😉

I want my coffee like Ocean Boy during the day in the DL.

I said It is cocktail hour I would happily give up for our 5 free any drinks any time of day.

Actually if they added another drink each day I would accept the loss of the in cabin C&A free drinks in return.

Any good management would do what you say but still keep an eye on other cruise forums as well to get a full picture of what people think.

Not certain, but adding the drinks sounds like a trade for not having a lounge

Looks like they are outsourcing their IT department to Timbuktu when info like that gets posted -- even if for a few hours.  And some people believe that department monitors what is said on these boards?  Do they even speak English? The way the short-lived announcement was worded you have to wonder...

Everyone has different needs. 

 

ALWAYS use:

Laundry - Free Wash and fold especially because we sail(ed) mostly B2B

Casino freebees - free play

Money off drinks -  to get a decent glass of wine BOGO

WiFi - using technology allowed us to be away and crusie often. Our clients didn't even know we were out of the  country

Gift amenity Three bottles of wine and welcome beverages saved us about $200 per cruise

Discount at Spa - Both of us have had haircuts on board.  

Meal with Officer -  was a nice breakfast lunch in the dining room, but more recently a lunch or dinner is a specialty restaurant.  

 

Unlike most - the (evening) lounge is lower on my list.  We  use it sometimes, and some cruises not at all for HH.  We do like a morning specialty coffee.

 

And there are some that we rarely or never use.

 

All I can say is that is will be "interesting" to see the changes when/if US cruising resumes.

It is warranted!  A major company that releases info that impacts SO MANY loyal customers,  should  have written and proofed  the information.  My favorite part was the  space holder info listed in the P meal with an office part.  Something   like "paragraph here"   

 

They say, (who ever "they" is) , companies float info to see what hits the fan.   Wonder of that was the purpose.    So, they add something back and the  customer is happy, but in the long run, there are still cuts.

Agree - I think the free pay is the best. 

 

Free spin - a waste. Most recently all you got was a raffle ticket - pulled the last night ( must be present to win)  for a T shirt and a cheap bottle of champagne.
