jerseygirl3 Posted June 11, 2021 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2021 Well, this is distressing. If 2 cases turned up on a fully vaccinated cruise, imagine how many more will on a Royal ship that now will no longer mandate vaccines for anybody? https://www.cruiselawnews.com/ 5

NC State Posted June 11, 2021 #5 Share Posted June 11, 2021 Like the flu shot, you can still get it after getting the shot.
Rare livingonthebeach Posted June 11, 2021 #6 Share Posted June 11, 2021 One of the reporters onboard had to quarantine even though she tested negative, due to the fact she had taken the same excursion than the two who tested positive. The two asymptomatic passengers were told they can not leave the island until they test positive. Hope they got good insurance.

My suspicions are about valid vaccination cards especially with only these two .

The thing is they had no symptoms, it is possible to get Covid with shots but it prevents it being serious and being hospitalized. What I find scary is if this happens to us we will be stuck in a st Maarten hotel until we have a negative test , we sail in a few weeks.

It's one of their main selling points. These people might have to foot the bill initially, but Royal will reimburse.

So the 2 out of X number of passengers tested positive, but they were allowed to go on an excursion? Seems fishy, if it took that long for tests to come back. If the reporters were vaccinated why were they also quarantined? Methinks we don have all the juicy info yet.
