Rare VMax1700 Posted June 21, 2021 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2021 Dear Valued Guest, I hope this finds you safe and healthy. It’s official! We’ve just announced our plans to return to cruising the West Coast and the Caribbean this fall. All of us at Holland America Line are thrilled to see cruising begin again and hope you are as excited as we are about these new plans, as well as our previously announced sailings in Alaska and Greece. As we continue to work with governments and port authorities in correlation with the phased resumption of cruising in other areas of the world, we have made the difficult decision to cancel additional 2021 departures in South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, including your upcoming voyage (booking #XXXXX). We will be transferring your booking automatically to a comparable voyage one year later at your current fare (or your current per-day fare if the voyage length is different) and in the same or equivalent stateroom category, with incentives and promotions protected. Please click here to see a list of the voyages being cancelled and the voyage you will be rebooked to. Non-cruise-fare purchases through Holland America Line such as Flight Ease air, shore excursions, gifts, dining and spa will be refunded to the original form of purchase. Taxes, fees and port expenses will be recalculated based on your new voyage. We anticipate you or your travel advisor will receive your new booking confirmation by July 30. There is no action required at this time from you, and we will be unable to make changes, accept special requests or process cancellations until after the replacement booking is confirmed. If any portion of your travel was not booked through Holland America Line, other booking and cancellation conditions and policies may apply. Most airlines and other travel-related services such as hotels, transportation, and tours are allowing refunds or waiving change fees due to COVID-19; please work directly with your travel advisor and those operators regarding their charges. The above terms are not applicable to guests booked on charter sailings. Please note that due to the significant volume of bookings impacted by these changes, we ask for your patience in affording us the time to work through processing these voyages. We are working hard to make sure every booking is handled accurately and efficiently. Should you have any questions, please contact your travel advisor or reach out to us at the appropriate office:

AncientWanderer Posted June 21, 2021 #9 Share Posted June 21, 2021 Thanks for the info, @VMax1700 Probably a lot of disappointed people right now. It's nice, though, that HAL really emphasized the options that remain. Gives a person hope.
Rare Crazy For Cats Posted June 21, 2021 #10 Share Posted June 21, 2021 @VMax1700thank you for sharing. This gives me hope that our fall winter cruises will happen, even if ports are changed.
Rare albingirl Posted June 21, 2021 #11 Share Posted June 21, 2021 Gee, I've long wondered if the December cruise was going to go; now it looks as though it is. We've had 3 canceled, understandably, but boy are we ready to go! As is everyone else. Best part is seeing all the familiar faces, crew and past passengers. And, of course, the Pinnacle grill luncheons! Some things to look forward to.

Live4cruises Posted June 21, 2021 #13 Share Posted June 21, 2021 @VMax1700Thank you so much for posting this! I received the email, but in my fat-fingered haste to print, I managed to hit the heretofore unknown keystroke combination that sends email COMPLETELY away, not retrievable from trash. It's been that kind of a day.

Rare richwmn Posted June 21, 2021 #16 Share Posted June 21, 2021 It appears that Zaandam Christmas / New Years has also been canceled. FB reports that it has been moved to Eurodam 2 days later but my TA can't find that.
Ottawa traveller Posted June 21, 2021 #17 Share Posted June 21, 2021 I am booked on the cruise out of San Antonio Chile that follows the now cancelled Westerdam cruises. I am now assuming that all of the SA and Antarctica cruises will be cancelled for 2021-2022. If so, I hope they do it soon.
Tennessee Titan Posted June 21, 2021 #18 Share Posted June 21, 2021 I guess I am confused (to say the least)! Does the Replacment Cruise PDF imply that all of the European Rotterrdam sailings will be cancelled, and ( at least for now) the TA on 20 Oct will be the Maiden (Inagural) Voyage?? Yipper Posted June 21, 2021 #19 Share Posted June 21, 2021 The TA on 20 Oct is not showing up on the HAL website either.
