Yes. Elite/Suite benefit.

Something to strive for if you aren't Elite or can't afford a suite (& mini-suites don't count).

'mini-bar' Publix Liquor store retail value - what, maybe $30 max ?

It's unfortunate that you are taking up table space in the regular dining areas when you have your own dedicated space.  Hopefully, you will find the access to CC more than adequate and will delete your other reservations.

Really??? Taking up table space? I think your comment was a bit rude. I plan to cancel the reservation if I can get confirmation from someone on the current cruise on how it is working. To be honest I wasn’t even sure club class was going to be an option when cruising resumed which is why I made a reservation in the first place. As I said before this is our first time booking a suite and I’m using CC for the first time to try and glean as much information as possible.

Have you been on a cruise to Alaska yet and can you confirm what the club class situation is on the ship? If so please share as I’d love to hear how it all works. Thanks!

I trade for 2 coffee programs so it eliminates the need for Princess Plus

We’ve never done club class dining before but will have it on our cruise in a few weeks. When you arrived at the dining room were you seated right away or did you have to wait? We normally like to eat around 6 so I’m wondering if there will be a wait and if so then we’ll just keep our DMW reservation and forgo the club class option. Also how was the service? I saw one post that the service was very slow in the MDR.

If you make a DMW reservation and then go to club class then you are taking away a table from someone who might want that time.  I have never ever waited more than 3 minutes for a table in club class

Is your experience pre-COVID or post-COVID? Thanks!

It doesn't really matter - there are a limited number of people in full suites or club class mini suites and they can an do arrange the size of club class to accommodate the amount of people.  It is not a separate dining room but a roped of section of one of the MDR's which can be expanded if needed

Sure didn't long for the snarky comments to start up.  If you don't like what someone says just skip over it.  Not all comments require a comeback against the poster.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

We would appreciate it if someone could post a photo of the $15 lobster roll. Yes, I noticed the price went up.

Thanks to all who post about  your cruise. See you on the Juneau Harbor cam tomorrow!

I noticed that too!!  I had saved the menus posted earlier and the lobster roll was $12.  Oooops!

Sorry, didn't mean it to be rude.  The whole idea of CC dining is to be able to arrive anytime during dinner time and be seated either immediately, or in a very small number of minutes.  Everyone has been reporting it is working well.  In fact, I don't recall ever reading about cases of poor service in terms of access.  The only time you need a res in the general seating area is if dining with others who are not entitled to CC dining area.

The destination is not material.  Club Class works the same on all ships and all destinations.  If you want real world experience, some of the guests who posted on the first two voyages - and this one - have mentioned having CC dining.

I'm also on that cruise and I'm wondering how the 8/8 slot pull goes. Ours is just 27 ppl.

Doesn't sound like it as someone reported lots of smoke last night.

The Cruise Critic meet and greet went great. Captain Dino, HGM Jasper, Assistant HGM Miguel, Captains Circle host Tina, ED Duke and CD Dan were all there.  Many thanks to AZBirdMom for organizing our role call and this meet and greet and sending out invitations to the officers.

The naturalist on board, Michael Modzelewski, is excellent. We just came from his talk and will try not to miss a future one either.

We had our first on board statement snafu when both of our drinks were added to G’s account, which made it priced over the $11 limit. A trip to Guest Services straightened it out. Also, the 10% Elite discount on our shore excursions appeared on our statement today.

The current cruise has more lenient masking requirements so I would assume they would have more smoke in the casino. The 8/15 cruise is under a newer more restrictive masking requirement and I was wondering if anyone onboard could find out how that will affect smoking in the casino since the new rules that will be implemented for the 8/15 cruise require mask be worn in the casino.

Thanks for that info. While we usually don't book the Princess excursions I think we will do a couple when we sail in May and I was wondering how the discount would work if we pre-booked.

The new masking protocols are in effect now.  It's the additional pre-test that goes into effect next cruise.

As it is - there should be no smoking at any of the gaming tables - generally starboard side - including machines and the smoking is on the other side around the gaming machines only.  Not at the bar IIRC.  Not to say that smoke stays, but my experience is that the newer ships have pretty good ventilation to remove the smoke.  Still, I would prefer there to be none in public spaces.

Thanks for your post. I remember Michael from about 14 years ago. Great stories.  I bought his book. I'm sure he has more books now.

They posted a picture on the Aug. 1 Live thread.  It looked delicious!! But I didn't save it and just now went back 14 pages and couldn't find it.

I always avoid walking through the casino, because eof the smoke. It was strong and noticeable last cruise when I cut through quickly. To avoid walking through there, I just walk through the VIP Gaming Room. There is no Churchill's on here as that was turned into a random arcade room.

No, the casino was crowded last night and had a lot of smoke, too much for me. I played this morning instead.
