Good morning to all  dalyites.  Rich and Roy you really hit it out of the ball park today. Love both dinners, love Margaritas although I prefer blended to on the rocks and the wine sounds good. The only musical I have actually seen on Broadway was Wicked but I try to go to local musical theaters often.

I have never been to todays port so enjoying seeing the photos. It looks like a very lovely place.

Good afternoon. Thanks for the Daily.

Great days. A salute to Confucious. I love Broadway musicals (growing up we'd go to NYC from NJ), and we get touring companies here in a Broadway Series . Yes! National Coffee Day is my day, lol. I'll have an extra cup (16 oz) to celebrate.

Profound quote by MLK.

Interesting meal, but too many carbs and I don't think I'd like toasted. Mmm, margaritas. And the wine is good too. I like Roy's meal better I think. And I love the chilled soups.

I have not been to the Seychelles.

I am feeling recovered from my procedure after a solid 8 hours of sleep. It's sunny and about 68 here, so very nice.

@dfish I'm glad you slept better. I think my back exercises are helping and I go back to PT tomorrow. Thanks for the reminder about Come From Away. I got a free year of Apple TV when I bought my new iPad earlier this year.

@Seasick Sailor Great photos of the get together.

@lcand1923 Welcome back and I'm glad you had a good cruise.

@mamaofami I'm sure it's exciting to have Sam coming home tomorrow. Hopefully the aide won't need to be there too long.

@smitty34877 Good news on the twins and Tana continuing to improve.

Prayers for the care list and cheers for the celebration list.

Be safe and wear your mask. We still have overy 400 cases daily and unfortunately deaths have gone up as well.

For Come From Away fans, it is now streaming on Apple TV.   I have a free year with the last purchase of an iphone, so I am planning to watch it this week.

Thanks for the info! I too have a new IPhone so I will be watching this.I have a friend who landed there-when the musical played at the Fox Theatre, she was their special guest..

Joy @Seasick Sailor so good to hear the reunion was great fun. I loved the pictures. What restaurant was that?  We are going to Houston soon (it’s my Ladies Group reunion), but I don’t think Georgetown is very close.  We have some fun things planned including a chef’s table dinner at Brennan’s.

Sharon the name of the restaurant is Wildfire. On the square in Georgetown. Houston is about 3 hours away, so not sure if your group will want to drive that distance! Have a great time with the ladies. Post a picture.

Good morning, all! I’ve never been to Broadway, but love the musicals when they tour. My favourite was Cats, performed in Vancouver many years ago. With today’s heavy rain it is indeed Coffee Day, consumed leisurely in front of the woodstove. I love ravioli, but rarely find one I can still eat. In just over a month, I will be having Margaritas on a beach in Mexico with DH, DS, and BIL. I can’t wait! The wine sounds intriguing, but I’m not prepared to spend $65 for a wine that tastes like leather, tobacco, graphite, and crushed rocks.🤔

I was so late to the party yesterday I just watched from the door, so to speak. It was good to hear from @atexsix. His absence was a little concerning. @mamaofamithats wonderful that Sam is coming home, and probably there by now!

Yesterday was very busy getting outdoor things done before the heavy rain set in, as it has now. Today DD and I will work on her sewing project - a long lined skirt that can open out into a sort of blanket. During the good weather, I rescue printed an unsuccessful scarf using lichen. It’s something I’d discussed with a professional fibre artist on a botanical printing forum. The result was beyond what I could possibly have hoped for.  The Usnea, a dull grey green in real life, prints a pretty orange. I often use it to make dye to after dip with, giving a soft peach background. This looks like fall leaves drifting down through smoker mist. I’m really happy with it!

Happy Wednesday, especially to those packing for or unpacking from their reunion with a BHB!

DH & I were at Victoria, Mahe, the Seychelles overnight during a 12-day Orient Lines 'Isles of the Indian Ocean' cruise. We stopped at three of the 116 islands making up the Seychelles -- at the isles of Mahe, Praslin & LaDigue.

I had heard of black pudding before we boarded P&O's Oriana in 2000 for their world cruise, but DH had not.  One morning at breakfast, he decided to try it, and without going into details about the ingredients, I kept telling him he did not want to try it.  After tasting the black pudding, which he did not especially care for, he wondered why I knew not to try it.  That is when I told him what was in it.  😉

I actually like it, but a little goes a long way!

Happy Coffee Day (and the other days1)!  I join a few others in not drinking coffee.  I used to drink it  with DH because he was a devoted coffee drinker both day and night.  But since he is gone, I do not drink it, because I really don't like it.  Will order a "foo-foo" coffee once in a while but not often.

We got over an inch of rain last night and early into today.  It was really pouring when I left on my drive to another town for my meeting.  Thank goodness it stopped mid-way during the drive, and was clear until I got almost home!  But after little to no rain, this is a help to our drought!  Looks like we may get some more this afternoon.

My meeting was good and glad I went even if I didn't relish driving in the rain.  Thank goodness I had lived in Central Florida for 19 years, so driving in rain doesn't bother me.

Thanks to all for a fun read today.  Have a great rest of the day, everyone.

Good afternoon/evening!

It has been another cool & damp day here 14°C/57°F.  DW has just finished her last physio session before we head to Venezia to join Eurodam.  Let the packing commence.  This is the first time we have requested assistance at the airports to help get DW to the gate etc.  She is concerned that the chair pusher will not stop for her to shop in the 'Duty Free'. 🙄 I told her not to worry as the shops were shut 😉.

@rafinmd thanks for putting us on the care list, but it is our DGD who broke her collarbone (not me!).  She is meeting with a specialist today to see if she needs surgery.

Positive thoughts for all on the care list. 🙏

and 👏 to those on the celebration list.

I knew that, but that's one I'm having difficulty attributing it to auto-corrrect.  I guess I'll have to blame it on updating the list before my coffee kicked in.

Oh Laura, you've really outdone yourself this time !!

@Quartzsite Cruiser, sometimes it's better not to know what's in a dish before trying it.

Smooth Sailing!  🙂🙂🙂

Gerry

I couldn't agree more.  If I like a strange dish, especially in a foreign country, I don't ask, just enjoy.
