I was escorted behind the scenes to a waiting area and asked to take a seat

Isn’t that a fun experience?😂😂

I actually had that happen to me twice in one year.  Once, coming back across the Canadian border, then again coming off a cruise.

Those are stories for another time.

Do you know if Royal Caribbean on board the Symphony of the Seas conduct a free Covid PCR test prior to disembarking for international travellers returning home to Canada?

Are you from OHIO?

I will have my mom with me on the Symphony from PARMA. She’s 92 and did the first transatlantic on the Symphony. The SYMPHONY OF THE SEAS  is her favorite ship. She enjoyed your cruise so much and can’t wait for November 20th for her cruise.

Thanks so much you made mom smile.

When very young we lived down the street, Brecksville, but mainly grew up in Medina.

The week before on Symphony we ate at the specialty dinners. They were all really good. The only thing I didn’t like was the whole lobster stuffed with crab at Hooked. They quickly replaced it with 2 lobster tails that were really good and offered us all more lobster tail if we wanted.  They said they are having a hard time getting good crab right now.  Chops is always good.  First time at Izumi and Jamie’s.  You will love them both if you like that kind of food.  Wonderland was fun.

There is no charge for those needing a test for travel or moving to another ship that day or the next day.  Contact Guest Services to sign up for it.  That give you the test the last full day of the cruise.

I have not heard about Canadians paying for them.  I know of 2 Canadians who have sailed recently and one has just boarded a ship again today.

Good morning from Fll.
we decided to spend the day here yesterday any fly home today.

Went to dinner at Coconuts. Great food.
It is something. Came back to hotel and showered and started watching the news.  Next thing I knew it was 5am.

I will post some closing thoughts when I get home. But. One thing that did amaze me at customs.

There were only 2 custom agents to take care of those that were red flagged on facial recognition.

When “ A” and me had our encounter. That only left one.

There were about 10 people waiting in that line. Thanking God I was first.

Moral of story.  Make sure you have a later flight in case You win a jackpot.

More thoughts when we get home.

Stay healthy.

One thing I noticed yesterday was at the schooner bar the signs were down that you could not sit at bar. We ordered our drinks and the bartender was very nice.

Are there any bars you can actually sit at and have a couple of drinks ?

Also was rising tide operating ?

Many Thanks

Does any onboard passenger know what current occupancy % is?  Guest services will oblige with that details next time your up that way

If it helps, I’ve seen a few reports on FB from those onboard the current sailing. They report just under 3,000. One person reported 2,900.

Oct 2 cruise was 2,464.  If I remember correctly, @Lionesss number for Oct 9th was not much different, give or take a couple hundred.

Thanks for the feedback...We just returned from an Equinox cruise 3 weeks ago and occupancy was at 30%, approximately 988 passengers, so a better increase of passengers on this cruise..which only leads to a better atmosphere on such a large ship

When I started this thread I had no idea if I would ever find the time to stick with it.  For my first live thread. I am happy.  Some days were more interesting  than others.  All events really occurred.

One day I may undertake this task again.

But …,,
