Dancing, Masks

Final payment is upon me.  We were so excited to book the brand new Enchanted for  March 2022.   We cruised on Celebrity last August. No masks for vaccinated guests and all the dancing venues were open.  We love the Grand Foyer on Celebrity and the Piazza on Princess.
If the dancing venues are not open and masks are required while dancing we will have to switch to Celebrity. Here’s hoping that dancing is happening!  We cruise on both lines regularly. We love to dance and to snorkel!

Princess has the best southern Caribbean itinerary! At thus time Celebrity has best post-pandemic experience and procedures- cancel up to 48 hours before embarkation for full FCC,

fly you home on charter plane at their expense if you get Covid on board.
 Thanks for your input.

We just got off the Majestic Princess, which was only about 45% full. There were about 10 couples dancing in the piazza at various times and none were wearing masks. When we danced at one of the 70's/80's music events, we didn't wear them either. Nobody doing cardio in the fitness center wore them, and only a few people lifting weights did.

Zumba and line dancing were held outside so again no masks.

Watch these pages.  The rules today may not be the same tomorrow or later as they continue to change in reaction to the pandemic.  Princess is clear in the FAQ about masks and onboard offerings.

The world is currently not "post-pandemic".    You mention cruising in March 2022.  Currently, the above Princess rules expire Feb 28.   However, they may be extended at any time as noone knows what will happen next.

Celebrity Solstice class  ships have a large atrium snd a huge sky lounge for dancing .

You are right but does not compare to dance floor on Cunard, plus on Cunard there is a band playing every night for passenger dancing pleasures.

are the dance floors on Celebrity cruises good. Large?

They are really small. Even the Grand foyer isn't that grand with the staircase descending to the middle on Solstice class ships.

Edge class ships have a really nice sized dance floor in their night club venue however.

The Sky lounge is half the size on Reflection, due to the sky suites on the port side, compared to Silhouette and Solstice.

The atriums on Royal class ships are so much bigger than what Celebrity offer.

Everyone is masked indoors at all times when walking around or in the shops. Once seated for shows and game shows etc it is sip and cover. In indoor bars & MDR the masks come off once seated. Very, very few flaunting these protocols. Dancing (and high intensity workouts in gym) is the only time I’ve seen people without masks. I am not bothered by this. But to each their own.

outside no masks are worn.
