Just off 12/24 Anthem.  DW and I had a wonderful time crew is amazing.  We will be back on 1/20/22.

For those wondering about streaming to your TV.

 

TV is Samsung. A universal Samsung remote, HDMI cable is all you need to stream your laptop to TV via HDMI cable. TV also has option to "CAST".

 

Cheapo version of remote works well:

It’s all about positive Covid tests “Below Decks.”

 

Thats why we got tested four days after returning from 12/12-24 cruise.

It looks like Rhythm Explosion is the band on this cruise.  Royal Swedes is an amazing, amazing group.  We had them on our 2017 Freedom Transatlantic and then this year on Ovation to Alaska.  I wonder if they got transferred to another ship or got sent home.  I hope they are doing well.

I use 3.5 mm adapter on my phone so I can switch the input in case it is locked down, and an app for the remote (still kills me that Samsung dropped the infrared chip some years ago!), and bring along my Firestick. It's a lifesaver!  Well done!

Puerto Rico was canceled. We are getting 2 extra hours in St Thomas. We knew about PR 48 hours prior to cruise and ppl were given option to cancel for full refunds.

 

No Swedish Pumas listed for this trip. We have:

Latin Heat salsa band.

Guitar and vocals Scott Orchard.

High Voltage in Music Hall.

Two extra hours in the next port isn't very beneficial when it's earlier than things are even open 😜. I'll be fine with a sea day instead of SJU on our cruise next week but it's just funny they say they're giving more time in St Thomas.

We are sailing at 2500 guest's, per Captain's announcement.

 

Everyone is being safe. Staff reminding ppl to wear mask properly.

Washy washy police stopping the gross ppl who don't understand that concept and pointing them to the washing stations. Fun to watch.

Just disembarked from the Christmas cruise.  High Voltage wasn't very good.  The guitar player in the group seemed to be a bit full of himself.

 

Scott is the Piano guy in Schooner.  I'm guessing the Guitarist in the Pub is still Damian Joyce.   I thought both of them did a nice job.

For my cruise last week on Anthem, my ability to connect via wifi calling was iffy.  I kept getting kicked off of wifi calling.  It took several attempts each time to reconnect.

Perhaps if RCCL offered testing at the port before boarding, I'd feel alright walking through (but not lingering around) a crowd like that on embarkation day. But when everyone tested up to two days before getting on...I'd probably steer clear. Vaccines don't mean much for transmission this time. Although, is the MDR or theater much better?
