Keeping up w/ your positive thread… such a breath of fresh air! We have cruised recently & fully understand everything that’s been put in place.

I did giggle when you posted about ‘chair hogs’…why there are written rules I have no idea because they certainly are not adhered to by anyone…frustrating but have found there’s nothing we can do…and I’m NOT looking to open a can of worm here…just glad to read there’s others in the club.

Enjoy the rest of your cruise…I can’t wait for our next one, which is around the corner.

later-

Pattie

San Juan is a fantastic place in the afternoon and evening. It's full of color, music, culture, great food and drinks. If you're looking at it as a beach destination, you're really limiting what you can do because it's not somewhere I would even consider going to a beach. I'm actually pretty bummed that we will be skipping it on the next one but I've been there many times and will visit many more so I'm fine just rolling with the punches.

I agree with you. I love Old San Juan. I'd be disappointed to miss it.

Ridiculous.  Even on a half empty ship, the chair hogs are out in full force. Been here 90 minutes and lots of towels on chairs but no ppl.

Maybe RCI put all the towels out to space people apart.😇

Two70 had a royal mystery puzzle break. Had a rough go at it. We did figure out 3 clues, but time got the better of us, as we had a WWRY matinee.

WWRY was fantastic. Super cheesy and gimmicky and we loved all of it. Good singing and great musicians.

We were able to catch sunset from our balcony. Water was still and glassy, Sunset was stunning as always. I never tire of sunsets at Sea .

Jamie's is on tap for Tonite.

For those asking about diamond lounge, unfortunately we are not that high status yet

On Oasis and Mariner sails, the pool staff carried around a 6 ft pole to measure social distancing of loungers.  Mostly in groups of 3, 4 & 5.  I'm an early riser and use to see them use the pole when in doubt.  No spacing/social distancing in solarium.

I would take those towels off and if someone came later and said this is my chair. I would say " Sorry guess Royal Caribbean took your towel off the chair because you know that is not allowed".  🙂

Someone on another social media site said there were 300 Covid cases.  This can't possibly be true, right?

I mean after that video that's floating around I wouldn't be shocked... but I figured they'd pop up after a few more days.

The person on that thread was speculating about the supposed 300 cases, there is no firm evidence of such.

We are sailing at 2500 guest's, per Captain's announcement.

Everyone is being safe. Staff reminding ppl to wear mask properly.

Entering WJ ,

WASH your hands ppl.

Washy washy police stopping the gross ppl who don't understand that concept and pointing them to the washing stations. Fun to watch.

Some pictures from last night NYE party on Esplanade.

Free champagne being handed out to toast 10 minutes prior to midnight.

I love your report and I hope you had fun and are well.

How is this social distancing? It does not matter if they are masked.

This really makes me nervous about my 1/29 cruise.

Not sure what  Royal Caribbean  level

you are,  but I would love to see how

the Diamond lounge is as far as the crowds go.

Loving all your postings an photos.

Thank you!

Since we have vouchers we can use at any bar, I assume more people r using their vouchers throughout the day and not using the Diamond Lounge as much.  I look forward to finding out if the vouchers have cut back o. Attendance in the lounge at happy hour.

for Anthem NYE sailing? Have not seen or heard anything., and I have literally been all over this ship , ( and no I am not duck hunting either  :classic_rolleyes:)

BUT:

-All dining venues open

-All shows happening

-All bars open

-All activities happening

-Pools are all open

-Casino open including roulette, card games, and slots.

-bands have been performing, tonight was out 3rd night watching high voltage

-karaoke was at capacity so they were not letting anyone else in.

-people are stationed at entrances to venues making sure ppl are masked and looking at bracelets.

-No Event to my knowledge has been canceled SO FAR.

Definitely will investigate this.  Also saw on another social media post St Thomas is now canceled. Hmm interesting because it still shows on planner and ppl were busy booking excursions, and captain keeps giving status updates as to arrival time, now if we get there and they do not let us in, that is a different story.

Seriously wonder why ppl who are not on board post so much misinformation.

Also on board. Not seeing any disruptions or any major issues. Generally, the ship does not feel crowded.Masking has been mostly observed. We'll keep tabs on things -- but no announcements of any issues so far.

Great! Have a wonderful cruise. Nice way to start a new year. Enjoy the ocean breeze and relaxing the first few days of 2022!  Woohoo! 😃
