Looks packed with poor masking compliance.

Be safe.

Well, they were given free champagne to drink in a crowded area on New Year's eve.   I actually surprised by the amount of people still have masks on... probably non-drinkers.

Love to know if all the food is served by staff, any self serve?  Salt/pepper on the tables or are all condiments served in packets?  Thanks!

I was on the cruise before this one.  All food in the Windjammer is served by staff.  They squirt the condiments on the plate/bowl/food as well.  There are salt and pepper shakers on the table.  You can get your own juice, water, and ice.

There were tongs to pick up your folded napkin that contained a fork and knife...... but what's the purpose of that?  Everybody touches the tongs!  I skipped using the tongs.  There was also someone heading out plates and utensils.

Awesome pictures  from the Esplanade!!

I was really surprised to see that many people there .

Did they released the Ballons at midnight

In the Esplanade like  previous years??

No balloon drop. Kind of disappointed, but understand given the situation.

The trivia in Schooner and Music Hall have been eventful, won another keychain Nice crowd on hand. We were reminded by host if not eating or drinking to please mask up.

We also won the EFFY grab bag raffle, bunch of little bracelets and chains. Nothing to write home about, but will make nice trinkets for my nieces.

We have anytime dining and were unable to get a reservation, I went to main dining area and hostess said, "NO Worries" a party of 4 we can sit, seeing as we are sailing at less than 2500 ppl.

Tonight we have a show scheduled for 8PM, we are seeing violinist David Kinkenberg, followed by who wants to feel like a millionaire, followed by adult karaoke and hopefully some salsa dancing at Bolero's.

Casino Royale has been bad today. Only good thing is NO SMOKING in casino, and ppl seem to be having a good time losing their money, me included. Poker table has been full all day MASKS are mandatory while playing at table.

Dropped some ducks today, hoping they find a new home.

Currently on our way to St Thomas.

Sped:18.4 Knots

Course:164 degrees

Sea depth 5340m

Air Temp: 21 degrees Celsius

Time:6:05 PM Eastern

So happy to see that you all are able to go to St Thomas,  Some other cruises have been turned away. Good to see.

Thank you for answering my question so quick.  I appreciate it.

Really enjoying everything about your postings.

Thank you!

I hope you had a fun evening and all entertainment went as planned.

Has there been any talk about how many passengers are expected on the next sailing? Sometimes the C&A desk will give the numbers. I'm pretty surprised at your low count for a NYE cruise and I'm hoping that means we will have even less on the next one (good for passengers, bad for business).

Day 3 Sea Day

Good morning. On balcony enjoying the change of weather. Map shows us as south as Florida and east towards Bermuda.

Today I will be forced to eat breakfast on my balcony and spend time in Solarium .  Followed by a matinee of WWRY.

Last night spent a majority of our time at Music Hall.

High Voltage are freaking awesome. There playbook is large and they are true musicians. The keyboardist and drummer went off on a 10min funk/jazz/electro beat riff awesome to see them showcasing their abilities. Singer and guitarist are amazing also. Makes for a fun time.

PXL_20220102_134627599.thumb.jpg.04c33205348aaa8458e6304217002fc3.jpgAt solarium. How is it on a sea day on this particular itinerary the pool does not open until 10am. Ridiculous.  Even on a half empty ship, the chair hogs are out in full force. Been here 90 minutes and lots of towels on chairs but no ppl.

Puerto Rico was canceled. We are getting 2 extra hours in St Thomas. We knew about PR 48 hours prior to cruise and ppl were given option to cancel for full refunds.

No Swedish Pumas listed for this trip. We have:

Latin Heat salsa band.

Guitar and vocals Scott Orchard.

High Voltage in Music Hall.

Missing PR is not a big loss.  When we did the 12 nighter on Anthem and Quantum we arrived at there at 3PM and not a good time to go to beach and sightseeing..

San Juan is a fantastic place in the afternoon and evening. It's full of color, music, culture, great food and drinks. If you're looking at it as a beach destination, you're really limiting what you can do because it's not somewhere I would even consider going to a beach. I'm actually pretty bummed that we will be skipping it on the next one but I've been there many times and will visit many more so I'm fine just rolling with the punches.
