On this forum people want to know what’s actually happening on the ships I think more than what some people want to happen. Some people may want everyone to walk down empty hallways wearing a mask but that’s not what’s happening. At least not on our cruise. There’s also no evidence of sip and cover anywhere. But Everyone was respectful and masked up around people. It seemed like reasonable but not fanatical adherence to rules.

Hard to know how no one is abiding by the request to sip and cover but everyone is masked up around people.  Unless everyone is always alone it isn't possible.  I did see a man start complaining and then yelling and cursing that he didn't want to wear a mask in the casino when he and his wife were asked to wear them while sitting next to another passenger on our last cruise. The casino manager appeared at his slot machine right after his wife dragged him out and called for technician to pull up his information.  Not sure exactly what they did but I didn't see him in the casino again for the rest of the cruise.

It's my understanding that folks like this are told in a not so roundabout way to comply or disembark.

Should not have to witness that kind of behaviour. Selfishness.

My guess is that he may have been banned from the casino at a minimum. Shouting to another passenger that they will take their mask and shove it up their ******** *** is pretty strongly frowned upon.

We just got off of the Majestic yesterday.   Most people were very good at wearing the masks both indoors and out of doors. The voyage only had 974 passengers and about 1,150 crew.
The crew was constantly cleaning and wiping down the public areas including the Princess theatre.
We really enjoyed our cruise. This was my 10th over all and first back since the shut down. This was my boyfriend’s first cruise ever and he loved it

We felt safer on board than we do on land knowing that everyone is vax’d and tested.
there were no lines. The venues had lots of space to be distanced.
I wish that we would cruise again very soon.   I booked two FFCs.
we have taken two at home COVID tests just to make sure. I will test again on Tuesday.
Enjoy your upcoming cruises.

I totally agree with you. We are currently sitting on Deck 15 watching the Bills and Chiefs under the stars. Our experience has been the best we have ever experienced on any cruise ship. Everything is scrupulously clean, the staff are friendly and responsive, the food exceeds my expectations and we feel like very privileged passengers. Well done Princess!!!

We cruised on Caribbean Princess in mid December.  As many have stated there were no crowds, no lines and no waiting for anything.  I was quite impressed with how 95% of the passengers that I saw were complying with wearing a mask and keeping a safe distance from other passengers.  I was so comfortable with all of the safety measures put in place that we are going on Majestic at the end of March.

And it should be frowned upon. If all that was done as a punishment was being banned from the casino, IMHO that was not enough.

I would say if you are against wearing a mask then don't cruise right now. Most that I saw were complying and it really wasn't very difficult. Yes, hallways were most often deserted but you never know when someone is around the corner. Besides, it is something you agree to do when you agree with your cruise contract. I give Princess a lot of credit for trying to make cruising work and it would be horrible if they had to shut down again. These rules are for all of our safety.

I agree it is a great time to cruise. We had a fabulous time and felt very safe.

Spot on comments by the OP!
We’ve been on 6 cruises since the restart and enjoyed every single one of those sailings, probably even more than before the shutdown.
We’ve even booked several more for this year alone.  It just doesn’t get better than this!  We’ve gotten free upgrades and even easily moved cabins  (lateral move) on our last sailing because the one we were in had many issues.
On our first cruise back out in July 2021, masking and testing weren’t  requirements.  We quickly adapted to the new policies for the subsequent cruises.  It really isn’t that hard to do Nad certainly not more than what is expected of us here at home.  On each cruise, we’ve noticed increased compliance.
The OP even didn’t list that the casino is now nonsmoking, which makes gambling much more inviting for us.  On my last cruise, we noticed the casino was a lot more packed than when smoking was allowed.

I keep telling my friends that it is still cruising but now even better!  Everything is constantly being sanitized!  You can get a seat without having someone right next to you.  There’s probably little risk of seeing a number of sick fellow passengers … I’ve not come home from a cruise with even the slightest sniffle, which hasn’t always been my experience in the past.
The fact that there is an available cabin to move into if you have any issues with your room is awesome!
The room service menus have been greatly expanded, too!  I can even get items from the beverage package delivered to my cabin now.
The entertainment, although sometimes it gets shifted around, has been pretty good.  There’s always plenty to do!
We also love that it isn’t such a big deal to get a private table in the MDR without any wait.
Most of all, we live that we have time to get to know the crew that works so tirelessly!
I just can’t wait to go jump onboard during the most spectacular time for cruising!

3.  Masks are no big deal. U can walk the length of the ship most of the time to ur cabin and see no one. No need to mask. Empty elevators. Almost no one masks at bars and none sitting at a restaurant or outside. Only time it is irritating is in a show. But less bothersome than just living in most American cities

That's what I'm expecting. People wear them where they have to & take them down whenever they can.
