The automatic gratuity will be charged to your account. They use up any available nonrefundable onboard credit first and then refundable. Of course, if you have Princess Plus, the gratuity is included in your fare. Perhaps that's what Wowzz was thinking of.

Yes, I’ve always used it for OBC. Just subtracted from your folio account.

We have been able to use OBC for tips, just part of folio deductions.

sandyoftheseas Posted February 3, 2022 #8 Share Posted February 3, 2022 Yes you can use your OBC for crew appreciation. For example: you have $100 OBC you buy a drink for $10 the balance of OBC is $90 and the next day when the crew appreciation goes on your bill ($14.50) and there is 2 people in your cabin your OBC balance will be $61 and that continues until the OBC is used up and at the end of your cruise you will pay the total minus the $100 of OBC. Wavesprite Posted February 3, 2022 #9 Share Posted February 3, 2022 Jumping on your topic! If my husband and I each have $100 obc, do we each have to use it or can it be combined for my husband to go on an excursion alone and use both? Thanks! sandyoftheseas Posted February 3, 2022 #10 Share Posted February 3, 2022 Wavesprite- I don't think you can specifically give your $100 OBC to your husband. At the end of the cruise you will both get a bill of all your individual charges so if you spend $50 on board and your husband spends $150 on board your balance at the end of the cruise would be $0.If you exceed your OBC amount and if you use a credit card they will combine the total owed and put that amount on your credit card. Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted November 28, 2023 #21 Share Posted November 28, 2023 As has been stated several times above..."It all comes out in the wash!" While you may not be able to *directly* say that you want some of your OBC to go towards grats (assuming you are not booked with a package that includes them automatically) *EVERYTHING* gets applied to your onboard folio...so yes...your OBC will go towards grats along with anything else that you purchase/order/whatever.

We usually have at least that in Princess-provided OBC (MOBC, SOBC, FCD OBC, and sometimes promotional OBC) and prebook our excursions with it.
