I've just been sticking with my tried and true vodka cranberries. I actually just napped off about a 8 or 9 of them as today was a big day drinking day lol. I 'm planning on branching out tomorrow.

Gotta love Sea days!    Enjoy🤩

Even better would be a laminated card in each accessible cabin with the locations of these facilities throughout the ship to make it easier when away from the stateroom.

@Broons77If you get a chance, what movies are playing this week?   I always enjoy watching a movie on pool deck in the evening.

I'm no film buff but pickins seem kinda slim.

Thank you for taking the time out of your cruise to let us know how it’s going! It was a bit chilly for us here in FL on Monday, but will be warming up and clearing up by the time you get here. 🌞 I’ve put in a special request for you and the weather man says it’s looking good!

You’re really keeping a smile on my face this week. 😀

I believe there is an accessible family bathroom forward on the pool deck. If memory serves me it's starboard side near the forward staircase. I hope I'm right, it's been awhile since I've been on Anthem but I've been on her a lot.

Hello and welcome to day 3...  Ugh, that can't be right...  Good thing we get on another boat in May!

So yesterday I enjoyed some of the fruits of my labors and boozed it up most of the day and took an afternoon nap in the Solarium.  I took a look at my account this morning and am happy to report that I managed to break even on our drink package for not just myself, but i covered DW as well.  Not sure that's a sustainable pace, but I'm going to give it my all!

Anyhow, after I got my wits about me and was able to steer DW back to the cabin without incurring a DUI, we got ourselves dressed for dinner.  At this point I noticed that while i might have even overpacked a bit for DW, I really didn't pack for myself all that well.  The only dress pants I had were from prior to a recent weight drop and were a smidge baggy.  Oh well, the only other thing I have to worry about is Chops the day after tomorrow.  Smells like we're heading back to the 80's with a sportcoat and jeans.

One other casualty of some of my distracted planning was the dinner reservations.  DD and friend don't really care for steakhouses so our night out in the restaurant with the 4 of us was to be at Jamie's.  But it wasn't until too late that I realized I booked Chops for night 2 for just Jamie and I.  We were still able to get in at 8, so no big deal.  We enjoyed the meal - I would call it good, not great.  I had the arancini for my app and lasagna for main as I couldn't make up my mind and wound up just blurting it out.  DD had the bruschetta and shrimp linguine, friend had the squid and carbonara and DW had the shrimp app and carbonara.  I had brought a couple bottles of a favorite cab and I brought one with us and we didn't get a corkage fee from what I can see on my account.  Bonus!  Dessert was forgettable to our tastebuds unfortunately.  DW got the cheesecake, friend got the brownie and I got the Pavlova.  None of us were excited.  DD greatly enjoyed her chocolate ice cream however.

With that, I was done.  Lots of drinking, eating and also walking yesterday.  So while I've pretty much rented out space to gluttony, I've kept sloth at an arms length.  My afternoon sleep off doesn't count.

Now the advantage to crashing early is this...

A totally empty aft outdoor dining area.  It does NOT get much better than this.  We had a nice breakfast and chat with Nitin, our waiter from night 1.  He let us know tonight what was up for dinner tonight and I made the executive decision that we would be dining there this evening.

After that, I took some time to walk around and map out the family bathrooms.  I was sorely mistaken, there are several.  I apologize for the misinformation and will go back and try to edit that entry. I am going to put a list together after I can make sure I've gone through all the areas so more to come there.

At the moment, we're hanging out by the inside pool.  The pool decks are full, but not insanely so.  You can argue with me all you want, and I know RC needs full ships, but this really is a perfect amount of people on board.

Off to Johnny Rockets for a burger and rings to go with my Goombay Smash.  I did mention that today was branching out day.  I'm branching out to drinks with 2 shots in them...  🤪

Good Afternoon.  It's been difficult keeping up with this thread, more so than I thought.  I just haven't had the chance to sit down each day and get my thoughts down so time to play a bit of catch up.

Day 3 was pretty much a glorified sea day.  As has been the case on this itinerary, we didn't make it into Port Canaveral until late afternoon.  We continued working on our hanging out skills and spent our day by the nearest pool.  Later in the afternoon I was able to make it to the Thermal Suite as I had purchased the pass (and almost forgot I had done so.)  The suite is small, but was very relaxing.  There's a shower with 3 types of settings, tropical rain shower, cold mist or Caribbean storm, several heated loungers, a sauna and a steam room.  It was a nice little getaway to help with the soreness of pushing DW all around.

Day 3 also turned out to be Windjammer day, we wound up eating breakfast, lunch and dinner there because we just couldn't make up our minds.  As I mentioned before, the crew has been fantastic without exception and again I got some help gathering our meals from the waiter.  I have several names that will be getting a rating of 10 at the end of the cruise.

We were able to catch Spectra's Cabaret after dinner.  Like almost everyone else's review, I found that the story made NO sense at all, but I chalked it up to the show simply being a vehicle to showcase the tech in Two70.  To that end, it did the job.  The lighting and robotics were something, and the performers were great as well.  But if you're looking for a coherent tale, you're probably not going to enjoy it much.  The woman sitting next to us left about halfway through the show saying she was falling asleep.  I thought it was a bit more exciting than that, but got what she was saying.

We turned in after that as we knew day 4 would be busy at Perfect Day.  Anthem was the only ship in that day so things were definitely not crowded.  We were at it early, got some breakfast and put our bag together for the day.  It certainly was a perfect day, the weather was clear and in the low 80's.  DW and I got some beach time in on Chill Beach, and I was able to take her to the water in the beach wheelchair to dip her toes.  She complained it was cold and I told her if she wanted cold, I'd toss her into the water at White Crest Beach in Wellfleet on Cape Cod in June.  That's COLD...

Sorry to bring this up again, but the family bathroom problem reared it's ugly head.  This time I don't believe I'm mistaken as I looked everywhere and not a family bathroom to be seen anywhere on Coco Cay.  I hope I'm wrong, please comment if you know of any.  I asked several staff and each one said there weren't any.  The last one let me know that she was sorry in the cheeriest voice I ever heard which I found to be rather irritating given that sorry wasn't helping the situation.  However, the beach wheelchair was wonderful.  I'm going to investigate to see if I can afford something similar.

After lunch, we walked around a bit and decided to head back to the ship as we had already absorbed a lot of sun.  We had also noticed that the NorthStar was running so we decided to take advantage and take a ride.  Being scared of heights, I assumed I'd be terrified and I certainly was.  However, it was spectacular being up there and seeing the island.  I was able to see some construction on the far west end of the island which I believe will be the new adult only area.  Not much there aside from some construction equipment and piles of dirt, but I'm excited to see how it looks when finished.

After our ride, we chilled for a bit, then I had to straighten out dinner as my Chops reservation got messed up.  I took care of that and booked a reservation for Izumi for dinner that night.  So far, this has been the meal of the cruise.  DW, who is decidedly anti-sushi, actually enjoyed some edamame and California roll along with her chicken teriyaki bowl.  I got the sushi selection and the chef special roll.  It was all fantastic as was our service.

I finally got to the casino and spun the slots for a bit and walked out with $50 more than I walked in with.  I also figured out how to purchase credits right from the slot machine rather than having to go to the cashier.  That's a win.

Today was up early again, where I found us already docked in Nassau along with 3 other ships.  DD and friend went off to a day resort where it looks like they'll be getting rained on right about now.  Tonight is the big night at Chops, and hoping to book a cruise on Oasis at NextCruise at some point later this afternoon.  Very excited for that!

Thanks for sticking with me, more to come!

I am definitely not anti-sushi, but it has never been my meal of choice....but frankly, we get more mileage out of Izumi than any other restaurant on any ship.  I think this is b/c of the variety AND I have discovered that if I ask for soy wrappers (vs the nori green seaweed one.  OMG, I think I have been [erroneously] calling this nagi for years !  ...and I lived in Japan for 3 years !!) then I actually enjoy the sushi.  It was the seaweed wrappers that I really disliked.  Dan absolutely loves EVERY kind of sushi so he's always in heaven at Izumi.  I only tolerated it until I found the soy wrapper connection.  BTW, I found out about soy wrappers during our sushi-making class a couple of years ago.  I didn't even know there was such a thing until then !

But is it only accessible with the Coco Beach Club pass? That seems wrong. I must have missed others then unless someone can confirm.

Nope, not due to the wrappers, soy, seaweed or otherwise. DW just doesn't like sushi.

Oh well, more for me! 😁

Thank you for the Kummelweck.   I will have mine next Sunday.

I'm so happy everything worked out for you and your family.💞

Re family bathrooms.   I think there is one located on deck 4  and on deck 5 near aft elevator,  when you come out of american icon look to the left near womens room.   I hope I'm right.

If not may I suggest you take her into ladies room.   I think most women will be very understanding that you are assisting your wife and she may feel more comfortable in ladies room.

How is the weather today?  Probably to chilly for pool deck?

I second this suggestion as I wouldn’t want your wife to feel uncomfortable  at all.  No question by I am sure any women on board.

May I add as a home health nurse for years back in the 90s I took care of gentlemen in W/Cs who I had to go into either the men or the womens bathrooms quite a few times and even at Phillies games and other sporting events, concerts, malls, museums...  I never had anyone have any problems with me in there with them.  Frequently, people would help block for me.  If you have to use either bathroom, just ask one of the staff to keep it cleared for you.
