We like to have a glass of milk with dinner. When I asked for a glass of milk, I watched the waiter put a couple of ice cubes in a glass and pour this nasty shelf stable milk from a box.

ALL milk/cream, etc is shelf stable. There might be "fresh" milk at the beginning of a cruise, but how do you keep milk from spoiling on a TA? TransPacific? Hawaii cruise?

Make your MDR rezzies on the good ole app (if you can) for everynight.

I've done this the past few cruises (on Majestic) and got in every time within 5 mins,

of our 6:00 res time.

When we booked a specialty dining?  I just cancelled the one nite at MDR.

I've come to the conclusion book MDR ahead, cancel day of,  if you don't need it.

As far as Pens/paper.  Many major Hotels are doing this too.

I now keep a pad of Postit notes & couple pens in my suitcase.

Pens are still available for free at the PSD and in the Casino.

So I am supposed to wander around the ship to get a 50 cent throwaway ball point pen.  That is sort of the ultimate of cheapness.

I suppose you never ventured into the casino or pass service desk in all your cruises.

Good for you.

Maybe if they do not enough crew for the number of passengers they should take fewer passengers.  When the crew is large enough to give the expected number of passengers the service they have paid for, then increase the number of passengers.

I got off the Majestic Princess March 12th and it was evident the ship was understaffed. I never met my cabin steward. Our cruise sailed at 68% capacity and the next two were sailing at 80% +. They weren't bringing more staff onboard. The day I got off, they were only swapping out the entertainment staff.

I found this to be true when we were on the Majestic in October.   Crown Grill was fair, service was poor.   Harmony was the worst meal I've ever had at sea and I eat everything except black licorice.  Even the International Cafe seemed to be lacking different choices everyday.   The buffet while large was lacking in flavor, most items were just kind of blah.   I just wandered around picking a few items and taking one bite and going this is just "blah"

As for the ship, I love the Majestic.....but the food was a different story

Could not agree more with your assessment. Harmony was so bad we left mid meal and went to dining room.

Yes I did.  However, I shouldn't have to go there to get a pen.  They should leave a few of them in the cabin.

Have mercy. It is what it is. Princess no longer puts pens in cabins so bring a few from home. Then try to enjoy the cruise.

I did request a pen and paper from my steward.  Received.  The Captain Circle Rep asked me if I needed pens for my Meet and Greet.  She brought a bag of "steriled/individually sleeved) pens for the taking.  Maybe 50?  So they are on the Grand.

If you store the milk inside the cow, somehow it stays fresh.  So they should have a small herd (if that is the term) of cows on Deck 17.  Problem solved!

Check out this link to "shelf stable milk" - https://www.bonappetit.com/story/what-is-shelf-stable-milk

This is the appropriate quote -

"But there are plenty of reasons to get behind it. Many have noted that because of its durability, shelf-stable milk might be a more environmentally sustainable option. Not only can shelf-stable milk be transported without refrigeration (which, in turn, lowers costs for producers and consumers alike), but it also doesn’t rely as heavily on plastic packaging (the boxes are cardboard and aluminum-based, bound with polyethylene plastic). And, since the product won’t go bad as quickly, less is wasted: Whereas typical unopened dairy milk expires within a matter of weeks under refrigeration, the unopened shelf stable stuff lasts up to 6 months at room temp. Once you’ve opened the aseptic milk, however, treat it like normal milk—refrigerate it and try to use it up within one to two weeks.

The captain did say to lower egg consumption because there was only one hen producing at the captains party!!!  I believe it.

Don't forget that extra chair for those balcony cabins too that they took away.....😀

It became a joke to many but, for those who have mobility issues or simply a back problem it was a real loss. I know it made a major difference to me.

On our upcoming cruise they have not only taken away the chair but most of the balcony as well!  (We were booked on Sapphire with a large Caribe Deck balcony and they moved us to the same cabin on Royal with a tiny speck of a balcony.) It's disappointing but at least we will get to cruise!

Kindred spirits.  (Although you can add mayonnaise to my list along with black licorice.)

I watched a podcast today by a guy who thinks that DCL walks on water (sails on water?  Oh, heck.  He thinks that DCL can do no wrong.)  And he just got off a cruise on the Disney Dream and said that the food was well below what he is used to (except for Palo, the Specialty Italian Restaurant.)  So it isn't just PCL.

A friend of mine has booked their first Princess Cruise and they cannot find in the Cruise Personalizer the option to request a robe but me having been on multiple Princess cruise do have the option.

Perhaps old hands at cruising with Princess are grandfathered in for robes? Does this mean newbies will never be offered a robe even if they make more reservations with Princess?

It is part of their new self guided exercise program. It saves on the cost of paying for a gymnasium trainer.
