We buy the 4 device plan as soon as we get onboard. Before I connect my first device to the Wi-Fi I am given the option to upgrade to the 4 device plan for $35 for a 7 day cruise. My DH and I then share my 4 device plan so we can ultimately connect 5 devices at the same time (4 on my plan and 1 on his with PP). I hope they aren’t charging more now to those of us who choose to wait to purchase it and use OBC. It would be nice if Princess would allow us to use our OBC to purchase the Wi-Fi pre-cruise just like we can use it for shore excursions.

I canceled the internet package that I booked at full price and rebooked through the app for the 50% off price. One less thing to hassle with on board the ship. Now all I need to remember to check for on the ship is the 10% off excursions purchased pre-cruise. That should be automatic?

It’s not surprising to me that Princess is providing less OBC so we don’t have enough OBC to pay for it onboard. We’re just over a week out from our B2B 7-day cruises so will purchase it soon in case they cutoff purchases a few days before boarding like some other types of purchases.

I said OUCH! to myself, but then recall you are from Canada - probably best to add a CAD since most price discussions the Princess board relate to USD.   You were at the $70 rate.

I would agree that it is best to order at least a week ahead of sail date or may miss the ship.  Used to be that things were good within 5 days except Casino "gift" OBC which was two weeks deadline and they are not offering that in the Personalizer at this time.

@Techwizardressyes you can get it 50% off onboard BUT pre-boarding it's 50% off $9.95 day, onboard it's 50% off $14.95. So $2.50 per day more

Not 50% off of the 9.95

A 10 day cruise would be 100.00 with the discount 

This is what happens to my mind when I haven’t been onboard for 2 years.

Actually it is 50% off 9.95 or $5.

Was able to fix the issue myself while on hold. UPDATED my IOS app.

You can can buy onboard at a discount and use OBC, although the plan's slightly higher that way. You can also wait to purchase later in the cruise to save money, even the day after embarkation, and still get the 50% discount.

I had the same issue a couple of days ago. The App updated and the problem resolved.  I have an iPhone and it auto updates the Medallion app but another CC User who has an Android mentioned they had to get the update… long story short, check to see if you have the most recent update and then try purchasing again.

i found out yesterday that after this update, Medallion appl does not recognized that i have already paid for Internet (it was there before the recent update). 

i have spent about 1.5 h on the phone with Navigator yesterday, all she was able to do is to start a ticket.

what is strange, that appl shows existing internet plan for the cruise that was bought with Princess Plus but does not recognized when internet was bought separately.

Me!! I checked all my addresses & phone #s and everything is correct.

Update the Medallion app if you have an iphone. My purchase went through after update.
 

I don’t have Princess plus. I think the cost for the week is very fair. Purchased 4 users as it was same as 2 singles. I’ll take my iPad and not have to log off and on.
